Sucuri offers a free WordPress plugin for integrity checks, malware detection, and security logging, plus a paid website firewall and cleanup service. - Source: dev.to / 7 months ago
You should always backup your website(s). If you are not running backups, you most likely aren't maintaining efficient security measures on your website as well. The only suggestion I have is contacting Sucuri and pay to clean your website up and stick with their WAF plan. Source: about 3 years ago
I know you found what you're looking for but.. I would recommend doing a third party malware scan with someone like sucuri.net. If there is a backdoor somewhere then it'll just get hacked again and there's a potential that credit card processors can take action if they think the company is a liability. Whether or not you think you have hidden malware on your site, the first step is choosing anti-malware software. For WordPress users, two of the top choices are WordFence and Sucuri. Both of these are tried, tested, and trusted to protect WordPress sites. And both of them offer stellar free versions many users trusts, on top of the more advanced premium versions. - Source: dev.to / over 4 years ago

A web application firewall is the right way to handle stuff like brute force attacks, as the application layer is the wrong place for such things. What I mean is, you could handle this stuff somewhere else, and that somewhere else's mission in life is to protect you from this stuff, so why not do it there. If you use Sucuri, you'd also benefit from their WAF being a CDN, so it should speed up your site. I DO NOT... Source: over 5 years ago
Sucuri is regarded as a significant player in the web security domain, notably recognized as a formidable alternative to Cloudflare and similar competitors. This reputation stems from Sucuri's robust suite of services that prioritize website security, including comprehensive malware removal, web application firewall (WAF), DDoS protection, and content delivery network (CDN) capabilities. Unlike some competing platforms, Sucuri does not offer a free tier, which is noted across reviews and discussions as both a limitation and a mark of professional-grade service. Users appreciate the value in Sucuri's offerings despite the absence of a no-cost entry point.
The platform has earned respect for its effective malware scanning and cleaning services, making it an attractive option for website owners dealing with security incidents. Numerous blog posts and product reviews highlight Sucuriโs capability to detect and rectify complex security issues, thus providing peace of mind. This strength is exemplified not just in resolving malware issues but in securing websites against common threats like DDoS attacks, SQL injections, and cross-site scripting (XSS) hacks. The service's ability to deliver these functionalities on a platform-agnostic basis is particularly appealing to users running diverse website architectures, including WordPress, PHP, and Magento.
Among its accolades, Sucuri is noted for offering one of the fastest and most secure CDNs for WordPress users. The combination of Sucuriโs security and performance optimization features pragmatically enhances website speed and contributes to improved Search Engine Optimization (SEO). This dual focus on security and speed is vital for website owners prioritizing both user experience and protection against threats.
Despite its absence of a free tier, Sucuri's lowest-priced paid plan is generally perceived as lower-cost compared to Cloudflareโs Pro plan, providing substantial features like full website monitoring, SSL certificate integration through LetsEncrypt, and reputation monitoring, which are often only available on higher-priced plans of competitors. User testimonials within forums further support this, acknowledging Sucuri's affordability relative to the comprehensive security solutions offered.
However, a recurring critique involves Sucuri's tiered pricing structure, particularly the omission of malware clean-up from its cheapest plans, necessitating an upgrade to more premium tiers for full feature access. Despite this, the service retains a loyal customer base given its reputation for effectiveness.
In the broader conversation of website security plugins and tools, Sucuri consistently emerges as a recommended option alongside others like Wordfence, underscoring its proficiency and reliability in safeguarding digital assets. Both in published articles and user forums, the platform is touted for providing thorough, professional-grade protection, underscoring its place as a preferred solution for seasoned web administrators and novices alike.
