Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing StoryWith AI.
  1. What makes StoryWith AI unique?

StoryWith AI is assistive, never generative. Instead of writing your book for you, it reads the manuscript you already wrote and runs a full developmental analysis โ€” structure, character arc, dialogue, continuity, readability, and theme โ€” plus synthesized reader feedback, then hands you a prioritized revision plan of what to fix next. Your voice and your rights stay yours.

  2. What's the story behind StoryWith AI?

StoryWith AI grew out of a simple frustration: every new AI writing tool wanted to write the book for the author. But serious writers don't want their voice replaced โ€” they want to understand what's working and what isn't, and know what to fix next. StoryWith was built to help authors see their story "as a system": draft it, diagnose it across structure, arc, dialogue, continuity, readability and theme, gather real reader feedback, and get a prioritized revision plan โ€” all while keeping full ownership of their words.

  3. Why should a person choose StoryWith AI over its competitors?

Most AI writing tools sit at the extremes: generative co-writers (e.g. Sudowrite) write prose for you, while line editors (e.g. ProWritingAid) focus on grammar and style. StoryWith owns the developmental middle โ€” it tells you what to fix in the story and in what order, combining structure, arc, dialogue, continuity, readability and theme analysis with synthesized reader feedback into one ranked action plan. And it never rewrites your words: assistive, never generative.

  4. How would you describe the primary audience of StoryWith AI?

Novelists and non-fiction authors who already have a draft and want to make it better โ€” writers preparing a manuscript for revision, beta reading, or submission to agents and publishers. It's built for people who want analysis and honest feedback on the book they wrote, not AI-generated text. Fiction and non-fiction, from first-time authors to experienced self-publishers, in 10 languages.

Caught the continuity holes my series book

Let me look at the real numbers on this one. Book two of my series meant every thread I left open in book one was now a promise, and I had eleven of them with four in conflict. Two weekends of moving sticky notes got me nowhere. The continuity pass tracks what the manuscript asserts and who knows what, then names the exact two scenes that contradict each other. Three of my four conflicts turned out to be information problems, not plot problems. The fourth was real and I cut a subplot.

๐Ÿ‘ Pros:    Continuity conflicts named precisely|One prioritized action list
    ๐Ÿ‘Ž Cons:    Docx comments dropped

Fits the way I actually write

This is the first tool that fit how I actually write, which is in twenty five minute pockets. The diagnostics and continuity checks tell me what my draft needs, the action list tells me where to start, and it never tries to write the prose for me. Free to try, so you can see if it fits your pockets too

An excellent writing companion for authors

StoryWith AI is an impressive platform for authors who want practical support throughout the writing process. Its manuscript diagnostics, continuity checks, story organization, and reader-feedback tools make it easier to identify weaknesses and improve a draft. I particularly appreciate that the AI supports the writer instead of taking control of the creative process. The interface is straightforward, and the option to start for free makes it easy to explore. A valuable tool for both fiction and non-fiction writers.

    ๐Ÿ Competitors: ProWritingAid
๐Ÿ‘ Pros:    Clear feedback summaries|Useful readiness scoring|Easy way to identify recurring reader concerns.
๐Ÿ‘Ž Cons:    Filtering could be more advanced
