Cloud gaming became popular for that reason. See, the goal is to eventually create devices that are cheap, functional, less resource hungry, and capable of streaming 4k experiences. The computational power is processed in the cloud, while the accessibility is present for everyone. For example, this was the motivation behind the creation of Chromebooks and Puffin Phone OS. While it is not moving as quickly as they... Source: about 1 year ago
Google recently turned down the Stadia service and refunded everyone for their games and hardware. Users were able to keep their hardware, but the controller was a brick until the Stadia team published updated firmware that enabled it to be used as a standard bluetooth controller. What the -, wow. That didn't take long. https://stadia.google.com/gg/ Glad I didn't keep trying to use it on my Chromebook with an Xbox controller. Source: over 1 year ago
Haha. Well if they really want to they can give 30 days free Stadia with these Chromebooks because it's scheduled to be killed after 3 months - https://stadia.google.com/. Source: over 1 year ago

Sorry I responded to the wrong Post. Account making is deactivated. But to my knowledge the Trials, which don't require a Stadia account, do still work. https://stadia.google.com/ and then click on one of the links that say no account needed. It will take you to a Google account login page if you're not already logged in. I don't know if you can connect a controller once you are playing a Trial. I did it all the... Source: over 1 year ago
PSA FOR STADIA PRO MEMBERS: We can still claim Hot Wheels Unleased - released TODAY - as a free pro game. This is easiest on the app, but https://stadia.google.com/game/hot-wheels-unleashed-game-of-the-year-edition should still let you claim it in the browser. Source: over 1 year ago
I don't know where you live, but Stadia offers a LOT of trials on their games right now and if I remember correctly you don't even have to create a Stadia Account. Just visit stadia.google.com, find a game, play it and see if it works. People tend to hate hard on Stadia, but I don't understand exactly why. It works and it has games. If you like it, like me, that's fine. If you don't like it, don't play it and... Source: over 1 year ago
Have your friend create a free google stadia account. He can then test r6 over the free play weekend and see how well it runs for him. All they need is a decent internet connection. Stadia's R6 allows crossplay between PC and stadia. Source: over 1 year ago
If you really want to play at the mobile-like (reduced) 720p stream then open stadia.google.com on Chrome on your phone and use the PWA (web app). It should work equally well and also have the option you're looking for. Source: over 1 year ago

Even if you go to their site right now, there is no mention of not having to pay, just an offer for the $9.99 plan with the first month free. You have to go all the way down to the FAQ and expand the "How much does Stadia cost?" to find out you can buy games without a Stadia Pro subscription. But even that is vague, because being able to buy games is not the same as being able to play them. It's entirely possible... Source: over 1 year ago
You could look for something like Google Stadia (https://stadia.google.com/) or GeForce NOW (https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce-now/). They are subscription based. GeForce NOW was OK back 2-3 years ago. Source: over 1 year ago
If you're on an iPhone then open https://stadia.google.com/ on your browser and find a free-to-play game from there. Don't try to use the Stadia app from the app store. Source: almost 2 years ago
I'll try to explain why you don't have to worry: You see, google.com is the site by Google for searching the internet, right? Then, what is play.google.com? Maybe a virus? No, it's the web version of the Google Play store. Basically, you can't register anything that ends with .google.com because the domain is owned by Google. The "Stadia" within stadia.google.com is just a subdomain, and I'd need permission... Source: almost 2 years ago

Stadia (https://stadia.google.com) is an online game streaming service, which sells games you can stream like Netflix or YouTube videos, and play using a web browser, much like Just Dance Now above. The main difference is that you can buy the actual game of Just Dance 2022 (the latest one), and play the full thing on PC, which gives you access to not only the 50 or so newest dances for unlimited time in 2022, but...
