• Why is Spore so expensive

  All games are stupid expensive. Why reduce the price on a 15 year old game when you can sell it the same and it sells sometimes? It literally cost them 0 dollars, they're not gonna run out of stock, it's not gonna go bad like milk, they don't have to produce more copies nor do they spend a dime on maintenance or patches or whatever, they even forget to update the certificate on spore.com sometimes.   For the adventures, this likely means you purchased Galactic Adventures from a place other than EA/Origin store and did not redeem your CD key. You must redeem a CD key for Galactic Adventures on EA.com before your adventures and captains will appear on spore.com. Source: about 1 year ago

  I have the steam version as well, and have had no problems with it before. But I checked the EA twitter, and everyone buying the new fifa are complaining too, and it looks like its their account management system that is down.   You can download PNG image files from anywhere (spore.com, this subreddit, email, file sharing sites, etc...) and drag them into the game to import them manually. The PNG file contains all data for the creation. Your own creations are automatically exported as PNG files and placed in the My Spore Creations folder, if you want to share them this way yourself.   If you can login to the game or spore.com and see your screen name (NOT email address) then your account is all good, the hard part is over. You will not have problems if you're already at this point. Source: about 2 years ago

  However, when I try to redeem it Origin says it's already been used. So why is it that when trying to register an account in-game I always get "an unknown error occured during registration, please try again", both on the Steam and Origin versions (I never had them installed at the same time btw)? • How to change the name of the creature author?

  Sadly, you can't. You can, enter the creator with all creatures, make a tiny difference (i.e, just press A on a item but dont movie it.) and save. Sadly no other way, and if you accidentally click the down arrow it may reveal your name. You can also upload them to sporepedia under your mastername, though I don't know if that removes the original name but worth a try (if no, you can delete the creature via the... • How to change Spore.com password?

  For me it's different. I have a separate EA account that I use to log in on Origin and the EA website. On spore.com, I log in with a different account which is the one I made in 2008 when I got the game. This account does not work on the websites for Origin or EA. Source: almost 3 years ago
