  It should be genuine. I've never heard of any issues. You can also use http://spek.cc/ to check the authenticity of files, and that they haven't been re-encoded. Most legit flacs will have no cutoff, and 320mp3 will cut off at 20hz. Source: over 3 years ago

  Try converting a few wavs and see if you notice the difference. Use a quality converter like the one in iTunes (uses the Fraunhofer codec which is superior to LAME) and set to Custom MP3, 44100, Stereo, YES Smart Adjustments, and NO filter frequencies below 10Hz. • Is there a free video player that also displays the audio waveform in the video player progress bar? The example here is iMovie from a dash cam clip which is why I am asking the question.

  I can recommend Spek for that, but I don’t remember if it accepts video files as an input. You might need to use some other software like ffmpeg (terminal-only, but you can use ffWorks instead) to extract the audio tracks first. Source: almost 4 years ago

  You can check FLAC files quality on PC using a program called spek, also musicbee can show you track information for eg. 16/24 bit FLAC, 44.1/48 kHz 1620k, stereo and on phone I only know of Salt Player that shows information like this. Salt player is very powerful but it's Chinese. Available on PlayStore, github and their telegram channel. I love this player but don't understand their privacy policy and they've...   Besides looking at the bitrate (minimum 256kbit/s AAC or 320kbit/s MP3) I use Spek to analyze the sound spectrum of the track. If the spectrum does not go up to 20 kHz the quality is too low. Source: almost 4 years ago

  I'm not familiar with Fakin' the Funk. How reliable is it? Have you double-checked and analyzed those files yourself? I wouldn't be surprised that those files could be a false positive.
