  • Detailed audio device control?
Not sure it has those specific features but you may want to check out Sound Control. Source: 10 months ago
  • Audio/Sound/Volume Mixer - Concept UI Art - macOS
SoundControl is exactly this and more: https://staticz.com/soundcontrol/. Source: 12 months ago
  • Earhive Gen3 V1E - Unable to adjust volume when paired to Macbook pro M1
Hey, bro, I think I've found a solution: I installed the SoundControl software, enabled the "Force Soft Volume Control" option. Yay, the volume is now adjustable! Hope this helps you too! Screenshot. Source: about 1 year ago
  • No Mac support, not obvious on product page.
I haven’t installed it yet, I’ve got a few days off and don’t want to waste the trial period. This is the one I bookmarked from the ones I found: https://staticz.com/soundcontrol/. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Controlling USB-C monitor volume with keyboard keys?
IDK whether a 3rd party software audio mixer would help; you may download a trial here: https://staticz.com/soundcontrol/. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Automatically change the speaker
You can go full octopus with SoundControl (https://staticz.com/soundcontrol/) for per-app control, and switching speakers is two clicks (one to display the drop-down from the menu bar, and one to select), but that's the only way I know to do it. Source: over 1 year ago
  • FFXIV Audio Issues Through Discord (Mac/M1)
For people annoyed with how FFXIV locks sound, sound control is on sale for $12.50 https://staticz.com/soundcontrol/ which is the ghetto version of rogue amoeba's excellent $40 soundsource. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Looking for an app to automatically switch audio source
Maybe Audioswitcher or Sound Control or SoundSource? Source: over 1 year ago
  • MacOS & MacBook 1 Month in coming from Windows
I use soundcontorl app for controling sound for apps. Link: https://staticz.com/soundcontrol/. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Drop your favorite Mac apps!
I've really liked Soundcontrol, which gives you granular control of volume and EQ for all your apps and audio devices in a simple dropdown from the menubar. Useful if like me you switch between multiple headphones, mics and speakers while also using Zoom, Teams and Meet calls, which all seem to have different volumes. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • What *is* the Apple way?
If you care, I'd like to inform you of a couple apps, Sound Control and SoundSource, that give you the ability to adjust volume by app. Granted, they're both paid software—$25 and $39 respectively. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Automatically change sound output/input when headset is connected/disconnected
I think you may need to look into a 3rd party utility to do this. Maybe something like this app: https://staticz.com/soundcontrol/. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • App for Volume Control
I use SoundControl works fine not free. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Security warning when installing Background Music
Just tried to install BM and felt unsafe about this message as well. One alternative seems to be Sound Control, I'm about to install it and try it out. The downside here is that Sound Control is paid. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Dual Apple Studio Displays Audio Issues/Questions
There's a few options here, Soundflower and another app called Soundcontrol. Here. Source: about 2 years ago
  • McLaren using Zoom instead of their partners software Webex....
No, but there is a third-party app called Sound Control that handles this, thankfully. It shouldn't be something I need to pay $25 for, but at least Sound Control has some additional features beyond per-app volume that make it worthwhile for some setups (I use per-app routing to have music play through my speakers without having to constantly change the system default output after I've been on a call, for example). • App to assign certain sound output of apps to individual output devices?
Sound Control (similar to Soundsource) --> https://staticz.com/soundcontrol/. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Psst: Fast Spotify client with native GUI, without Electron, built in Rust
I'd rather use https://staticz.com/soundcontrol/ (which I do use actually) than rely on an app like Spotify to be honest. - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago
  • External monitor volume controls. Is there a fix for this yet?
I use an external DAC with my Mac mini and have the same problem. I’ve found two programs that give keyboard control back in this case: Sound Control from Static Z and SoundSource from Rogue Amoeba. I currently use SoundSource because I like the interface better and it has more flexibility. But, I’ve used Sound Control in the past and it works fine for the volume key control function. • 2 TVs as monitors and sound, question.
Yeah, new Macs are pretty locked down in terms of security. You’re trying to do something pretty low-level, though, so I don’t think there’s an alternative. There are other apps that do this sort of thing (like SoundControl) but, as far as I know, SoundSource is the only one right now that will work on M1 Macs. I’m guessing that the other apps, when they’re updated, will require similar workarounds with the system... Source: about 3 years ago
  • Volume control in MacBook Pro 2020
Another paid (but a bit cheaper) alternative is Sound Control, but it doesn't yet have Big Sur support. Source: about 3 years ago
