Even with that, that machine might be a bit too new to run XP. The official HP website only has drivers for 7 and above. If there are drivers for your device, Snappy Driver Installer here should be able to find them. Source: 11 months ago
Drivers, have you looked at snappy drivers https://sdi-tool.org/. Source: about 1 year ago
Snappy Driver Installer -- pretty much everyone's go-to solution. If it can't find the drivers, odds are they don't exist. Source: about 1 year ago
Download Snappy Driver Installer (you can find it HERE ), open it, download only the indexes and then select the drivers only for the SR300 (there will be 2 or 3 for it). Let the program install them. If one of the drivers won't be installed, reboot the system and install the final one. Source: about 1 year ago

I wouldn't call it a pain in the ass with XP, unironically, Win2k/XP are actually the easiest "retro" OSes to find drivers for, with something like Snappy Driver Installer, you can basically cover everything you need with only a few clicks. Source: about 1 year ago
I have seen a few posts regarding LAN issues with the X670e-e, it's completely gone on some (no device listed at all in device manager), and some have connection issues. Do you see the LAN (or unknown) device in the win device manager? If you have driver related problems, you could try something like SnappyDriverInstaller (or SDI from https://sdi-tool.org/ ) it should install anything unknown, and it has been a... Snappy Driver Installer claims to work on Windows 2000, I wonder if it'd actually be able to find the required drivers. Link here. Source: about 1 year ago
One thing you can try if you feel adventurous, is to try SDI at https://sdi-tool.org/ Download the Lite edition, extract and launch the x64 exe, and when prompted to download driver packs, choose indexes only. Once done, see if it finds your LAN device (or any other device not installed). If so, you can select it and click Install. Good luck! Source: about 1 year ago
Snappy Driver Installer is good for finding any missing drivers and updating them. Https://sdi-tool.org/. Source: over 1 year ago
Also, if you're running out of ideas you can try SDI. It basically looks at your hardware ID's and grabs the newest drivers it can find. I've had it fix some weird issues, I've also had it cause a couple of weird issues. Source: over 1 year ago

If it seems fine, we can after that move on to checking other things. A first port of call and that you can try yourself is to download a program called Snappy Driver: https://sdi-tool.org/. Source: over 1 year ago

I never like using Windows Update for drivers, use the manufacturer's website and/or Snappy Driver Installer here. Once you install the latest driver using such a method, WU might try installing the older one. You will need to hide it using wushowhide here. Source: over 1 year ago
Like saying "Dodge truck," you'll need the exact model number (e.g. Optiplex 790, Optiplex 7010, that sort of thing) to find drivers for your model. You'll find those on Dell's website, or by using something like Snappy Driver Installer. Source: over 1 year ago
Don’t trust anything from the internet, but I use https://sdi-tool.org/. Source: over 1 year ago
Or Snappy Driver Installer (it found every driver for this Optiplex 9020 (4th gen Intel)). Source: over 1 year ago
