Create and edit embroidery designs
Sew Editor provides tools for creating embroidery artwork directly on the canvas. You can draw paths, regions, rectangles, ellipses, polygons, text, and other shapes. Objects can be moved, resized, transformed, edited, grouped, recolored, and reordered. The Shape Library provides a collection of ready-to-use shapes that can be added to a design and edited like other objects.
Import artwork
Sew Editor can turn common artwork into editable embroidery designs. SVG files can be imported as editable objects while preserving supported fills, outlines, curves, colors, and other SVG properties. Raster images such as JPG, JPEG, PNG, and WebP can also be traced into embroidery objects, making it possible to start an embroidery project from ordinary image artwork.
Edit embroidery objects
Imported and manually created objects remain editable. You can change their geometry, size, position, colors, stitch settings, grouping, and stitch order instead of simply treating the design as a finished image. The editor also provides point editing for more precise control over vector shapes and paths.
Thread colors and palettes
Sew Editor includes thread-color management and custom palettes. Users can assign thread colors to objects, create and manage palettes, and prepare thread information for production.
Stitch preview and production tools
Before exporting, you can preview the generated stitches and inspect the design using the editor's validation and production tools. The Ready/validation area can identify potential issues such as hoop fit, short stitches, density-related problems, travels, trims, and missing thread information. Production sheets and thread charts can also be generated to help prepare a design for actual embroidery.
Machine embroidery export
Sew Editor supports exporting embroidery designs to several commonly used machine formats: DST PES JEF EXP An export validation step helps users review the generated machine file before using it.
Editable projects
Projects can be saved as Sew Editor project files so that the underlying editable design can be reopened and modified later, rather than having to start again from the exported machine file.
This is the most powerful and full-featured embroidery editot that works online.
