   It was built by one investor for himself, after years of tracking a real portfolio by memory and spreadsheet. The breaking point was a stock he meant to sell at a chosen price — he got busy, missed it, and watched the price fall and take years to recover. He didn't want advice; he wanted something that never stopped watching the numbers he cared about and said something the moment they were met. So he built it.

4. Which are the primary technologies used for building Sentry Folio?

   Built entirely in Python: FastAPI and HTMX power the terminal, SQLite holds each user's own vault, and it runs on the operator's own Linux server behind Caddy. No off-the-shelf SaaS platform underneath — the FIFO ledger, the nightly price sync, and the discovery screen are all custom-written for this one job.
