  • Turn your singing voice into printable notes (in the browser)
Reminds me of https://scorecloud.com/ "ScoreCloud Songwriter takes recordings of voice and instruments and turns it into Lead Sheets, with melody, lyrics and chords." except there is no live demo (but a free download for W$ and Mac, and an app) (didn't try). - Source: Hacker News / 18 days ago
  • Iโ€™m writing a musical but canโ€™t write the music
One of them is ScoreCloud. This app takes some getting used to, but it does work. You sing into your computer mic and it will score what it hears on a lead sheet. You can also play piano and sing -- and it will create it as a score. The editor isn't great, but once you get your basic score, you can edit it in Finale or MuseScore or whatever editor you might have. Source: about 3 years ago
  • Is there any music software like synthesia that does not require input from a keyboard to a pc? I already have an upright piano that I want to use, is note recognition good for this yet?
ScoreCloud says it does that, but I'm not a fan of software that has subscription-only prices, so you'll have to decide if it's worth it to you. Source: over 3 years ago
  • Common Lisp and Music Composition
Other Common Lisp applications for music, written in LispWorks: ScoreCloud, Music Notation: https://scorecloud.com MusicEase, Music Notation: https://www.musicease.com/ OpenMusic, Music composition with a visual programming language: https://github.com/openmusic-project/openmusic/ Most of these applications are available for Mac and Windows, some even for Linux. OpusModus (mentioned in the article) now is on Macs... - Source: Hacker News / over 3 years ago
  • The best software for my process? (off-tempo improvisation into piano reductions into composer-friendly notation software)
Have you tried https://scorecloud.com ? It's free and you can kind of freely improv on your keyboard and it will make quickly write it onto a staff for you with approximate durations. Fun to play around with, idk everyone's flow is different but maybe you'd find it useful. Source: over 3 years ago
  • Why Lisp?
    - [ScoreCloud](https://scorecloud.com/) - A web and mobile application to automatically create music notation from music performance or recordings. Built with LispWorks. ## DB tools - [Pgloader](https://github.com/dimitri/pgloader/) - Migrate to PostgreSQL in a single command!. [PostgreSQL License]. - Source: Hacker News / over 3 years ago
  • Scheme vs CL? Differences? Pros and Cons?
For example IRCAM (French institute dedicated to the research of music and sound ) develops graphical/visual programming systems for music composition: OpenMusic is a long time project, which is Open Source, but runs only on top of LispWorks, because of its GUI capabilities. A project derived from OpenMusic is OM#, which also written on top of LispWorks. ScoreCloud is a commercial product written with LispWorks.... Source: almost 4 years ago
  • I just found a (PAID) software that can notate what you sing O_O
TLDR: I found a paid program with a subscription service ($0/mo for free [you only get to save 10 songs, but you can delete them to have more] $5/mo for plus, $20/mo for pro) for windows/mac and I think iPhone that you can sing or play to and it'll write sheet music for you. It obviously needs cleanup after each one, but for me it's SO MUCH FASTER because I'm a beginner and don't really care about being a... Source: over 4 years ago
