Scorafy marks open-ended answers against your own rubric, cites the evidence behind every score, and holds each result in draft until an assessor reviews, overrides and releases it. Built for L&D, training providers and certification bodies.

This page is designed to help you find out whether Scorafy is good and if it is the right choice for you.
Scorafy evaluates open-ended responses against your own rubric. Most assessment tools use AI to write the questions - Scorafy uses it to mark the answers. You define the criteria, the levels and the weighting; the AI reads each individual response against that rubric, scores it, and cites the specific evidence behind every criterion score, so you can see what a judgement was based on rather than being handed a number. Every result stays in draft until one of your assessors reviews it, overrides anything they disagree with, and releases it - respondents see nothing before that point, and overrides are recorded. Assessments can be timed at the whole-assessment and per-question level, enforced server-side. Cohort reports aggregate results across a group. Used by training organisations, corporate L&D and onboarding teams, certification bodies and educators. Data is held in the EU with row-level isolation per organisation, an Australian residency option is available, and customer data is never used to train AI models. Pricing is in USD, from $39 a month, with a free plan.

Rubric-based scoring of open-ended answers
You define the criteria, performance levels and weighting - up to 10 criteria across 6 levels, at assessment or per-question level. The AI reads each individual response against that rubric and scores every criterion, rather than marking against an answer key.
Evidence behind every score
Each criterion score cites the specific evidence in the respondent's own answer that justified it, so a reviewer can check the judgement instead of re-reading the whole submission.
Human review and override
Assessors see the draft evaluation first and can override any score with a comment. Overrides are recorded in an append-only ledger rather than silently replacing the AI's judgement.
Release gate
Respondents see nothing - no score, no report - until an assessor releases the result. Each release records who released it and when.
Timed assessments
Time limits at whole-assessment and per-question level, enforced on the server rather than in the browser, with the clock starting only when the respondent presses start.
20 question types
Long answer, document and PDF upload, video and audio responses with transcription, file upload, ranking, scales and multiple choice - built for open-ended evidence, not just quizzes.
Cohort and group reports
Aggregated reporting across a group of respondents - score distribution, shared strengths and common gaps - alongside each person's individual evidence-backed report.
Audit pack export
One button exports an assessment's configuration, rubric version history, release chain, override ledger and audit log as a PDF or JSON document, so a result can be reconstructed on request.
Most assessment tools use AI to write the questions and then mark against an answer key. Scorafy uses AI to mark the answers: it reads each open-ended response against a rubric you define, scores every criterion, and cites the specific evidence in the respondent's own words behind each score. Every result is held in draft until one of your assessors reviews it, overrides anything they disagree with, and releases it - and the overrides, configuration versions and releases are all kept on an auditable record you can export in one click.
Choose Scorafy when the results matter enough to be questioned: results shown to the people they are about, compared across a cohort, or feeding a certification or hiring decision. It is built so a judgement can be reconstructed rather than reasserted - evidence behind every score, a human sign-off before anything is released, and an audit trail you can hand over on request. If you just need informal, low-stakes feedback with no audit requirement, a general chat tool is honestly enough and Scorafy says so on its own site.
Corporate L&D and onboarding teams evaluating open-ended work at scale, registered training organisations and certification bodies that need defensible assessment records, and educators marking against rubrics. Anyone whose real problem is "hundreds of written or recorded answers, one standard, not enough assessor hours".
Scorafy was founded in Copenhagen in 2026 by an assessment specialist with a background in education and workplace evaluation. The starting frustration: AI tools were flooding into assessment at the question-writing end while the genuinely expensive part - reading and judging what people actually wrote - stayed manual, and the tools that did automate it produced scores nobody could defend. Scorafy was designed around the opposite premise: the AI drafts the evaluation with its evidence showing, and a qualified person stays in control of what gets released.
The AI evaluation runs on Claude by Anthropic - disclosed openly, and customer data is never used to train models. The platform is built on Next.js and PostgreSQL with row-level isolation per organisation, hosted with EU (Dublin) data residency as primary and an Australian (Sydney) option available.
