  Like most, I shunned it at first, but I recently started to use it extensively to do my literature search. The number of publications exceeds everything I can reasonably read, so I use AI sites like SciSpace to do a preliminary reading and summary of the paper(s).   Two other tools I have been impressed with are Elicit (elicit.org) and SciSpace (typeset.io) which both do different versions of searching and summarising articles (and you can even upload articles to them to summarise although I haven't read their data usage policy so have been reluctant to do that yet).   Since you are doing your research project, you may have to do a literature review and lots of formatting. Check out this tool called Scispace. It can help you find relevant research papers, and the AI-based feature called Copilot will help you if you don't understand a few parts of the research paper. It gives you simplified answers.
