So are the above 3 nostr clients (for example satellite.earth) different from the web clients (in this example Coracle)? The web client (and android clients like Amethyst) I understand are the interface that allows you to send and receive the underlying nostr feed, but is that also true of satellite.earth? Nostr is the real deal. I first heard about nostr last in November when Twitter tried to ban it. There's an incredible dev ecosystem developing โ€” so much so that I decided to rebuild Satellite (https://satellite.earth) the social platform I'd been working on to become a client for the protocol. There's a bunch of other clients too. Someone started a directory here https://www.nostrapps.com/ I'm happy to answer... - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago

  • Ask HN: How do you fight unjust bans from online platforms?
You make the data layer deeper than the platform. Platforms should be clients, not silos. Effective moderation is super necessary. And building a community is really hard. • Ask HN: What are the best minimalist, text-centric blogging platforms?
If you're looking for a content management system that you can host yourself it might not be exactly what you're looking for, but you should check out Satellite, a blogging platform that I've been building the last couple years. I've just deployed a major upgrade recently and to be honest am super happy that it seems to be getting a bit of traction. https://satellite.earth. - Source: Hacker News / almost 3 years ago

  • Where am I?
Iโ€™ve quit/avoided most social media, as it doesnโ€™t bring enough value to my life, and Iโ€™m not a huge fan of how many of the sites are run. Iโ€™m still active on Discord, and hope to be more involved on satellite.earth, but I shouldnโ€™t be using this site much going forward. Source: over 4 years ago
