Salesforce is a powerful customer relationship management (CRM) platform, and I have been using it for business for several months now. Overall, I am pleased with the functionality and capabilities it provides.
Pros: 1. Full customization - Salesforce allows you to adapt the system to any business needs. There are a huge number of customization tools, which makes it universal for different industries. 2. Powerful analytical tools - The platform provides excellent analytics and reporting capabilities. You can easily track the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, analyze customer behavior and build forecasts. 3. Interface - Despite the huge number of functions, the interface is quite intuitive and does not cause difficulties in mastering. Configuration and data management are easy to organize. 4. Integrations - Salesforce supports many integrations with other services and platforms, which simplifies work and allows you to use it in conjunction with other business solutions.
Cons: 1. High cost - Salesforce can be expensive for small companies. The subscription price, plus additional costs for customization and support, can quickly become significant. 2. Steep learning curve — The sheer amount of functionality can make it difficult for newcomers to get their head around the platform. It takes time to master all of the features. 3. Sometimes feature-heavy — For smaller businesses, some of the features in Salesforce can be redundant and not always necessary. This can cause confusion as you work.
Overall, Salesforce is a great platform for larger organizations and businesses that need to effectively manage customer data and automate processes. However, for smaller businesses, the cost and complexity can be a barrier. However, if your business is growing, Salesforce is a powerful tool for growth and scaling.
Salesforce is generally considered a good choice for businesses seeking a robust and flexible CRM solution, though it is important for each organization to evaluate their specific needs and budget before committing.
We have collected here some useful links to help you find out if Salesforce is good.
Check the traffic stats of Salesforce on SimilarWeb. The key metrics to look for are: monthly visits, average visit duration, pages per visit, and traffic by country. Moreoever, check the traffic sources. For example "Direct" traffic is a good sign.
Check the "Domain Rating" of Salesforce on Ahrefs. The domain rating is a measure of the strength of a website's backlink profile on a scale from 0 to 100. It shows the strength of Salesforce's backlink profile compared to the other websites. In most cases a domain rating of 60+ is considered good and 70+ is considered very good.
Check the "Domain Authority" of Salesforce on MOZ. A website's domain authority (DA) is a search engine ranking score that predicts how well a website will rank on search engine result pages (SERPs). It is based on a 100-point logarithmic scale, with higher scores corresponding to a greater likelihood of ranking. This is another useful metric to check if a website is good.

Maybe I'm just paranoid, but this thing screams "phishing link" to me. Why is this not a subdomain of flhmsv.gov ? Why is it a dot com?? I'd heard things about there being malicious links inserted into legit websites through either a hack or browser malware. Just going to force.com also redirects to salesforce.com , which... doesn't answer any questions at all. Is it just... Like this, or is there something... Source: about 2 years ago

Hello! I'm aware that Tableau can capture email activity with EAC. However, I'm looking to add a report within a Salesforce Dashboard. I've attempted to create a report on email messages following the resource on Salesforce.com. But, the results were minimal (657 all-time emails? Since 2017.) For clarity, not for List Emails, just 1-1 sent through Salesforce. Source: over 2 years ago
It is a fintech company so I do not expect them to, for example, profit much from selling clothes, or posters with my work on it. However, they are interested in the style of branding, illustration and general design of this website https://salesforce.com/ which uses a lot of colourful and playful imagery / illustrations. I would ask what compliance regulations specifically they need to adhere to and then look to salesforce.com for relevant docs per that spec to show Owner. If its HIPAA (healthcare) or another variation of industry, you probably have very specific rules that salesforce will have specific documentation to say if they do or don't have options for complying with that. Regulations may require 128 bit, or 256 bit etc. Source: over 2 years ago

As such, every single time I log into Salesforce I get a popup showing me "50 Reminders" which is a normal pop up window. In the site settings I have the site blocked (companyname.my.salesforce.com). Additionally I have salesforce.com blocked, my.salesforce.com, etc, and this matches the URL on the popup. Source: over 2 years ago
It does have "salesforce.com" at the end, but I would think it would say something like Activision Support before the @ and not "car_email_service". Source: over 2 years ago
Since Salesforce supports DKIM, verifying DKIM is properly set up is the first step. The next is checking whether DMARC is set to strict or relaxed. Then, it's possible you might want to update SPF but not guaranteed. SPF only affects the envelope FROM and not the Header From. If salesforce is already sending FROM their salesforce.com domain, changing your SPF won't affect your deliverability. (As the one... Source: almost 3 years ago

Salesforce, established in 1999, has fundamentally shaped the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) landscape, establishing itself as a front-runner with a commanding 19.6% of the global CRM market. Known for offering a robust and integrated platform, Salesforce caters to sales, marketing, IT, support, and eCommerce needs, providing businesses a unified system for leveraging customer data to enhance user experience and streamline processes.
Public perception of Salesforce is largely favorable, emphasizing its industry-leading position and comprehensive capabilities. Users appreciate the platform's scalability, which allows it to adapt seamlessly to business growth, providing flexibility in managing workflows and customer data effectively. Additionally, the platform's security features are often highlighted, ensuring data protection, a critical factor in today's digital environment.
Salesforce's pricing model, however, is a point of contention. Its cost is relatively high compared to its competitors like Zoho CRM, Pipedrive, and Freshsales CRM, making it less accessible for smaller businesses or those with budget constraints. Nonetheless, it remains popular among companies with substantial budgets that prioritize integrated business applications capable of handling extensive operations.
The platform’s versatility is evident in its offerings across various domains. Salesforce's cloud apps, touted for their efficiency, make it a cost-effective solution for many businesses. Meanwhile, its AI-powered analytics tool, Einstein Analytics, allows businesses to manage and predict outcomes, providing deeper insights and facilitating better decision-making.
Despite its strengths, some users report usability issues, particularly when comparing Salesforce to competitors like Pipedrive, known for its straightforward interface and efficiency. Others point out the necessity for additional integrations for optimal performance, which can complicate deployment.
Salesforce constantly evolves, incorporating tools like ExactTarget—part of the Salesforce Marketing Cloud—for email marketing automation. This acquisition has bolstered its services for medium and large enterprises focusing on scaling marketing efforts.
In recent discussions online, Salesforce's role as a significant SaaS application is acknowledged. The shift towards cloud-based solutions, accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic, underscores its importance in modern business operations. Salesforce is often mentioned alongside other major SaaS applications like Google Workspace and Microsoft O365, illustrating its integral role in digital business transformation.
The platform also offers extensive learning opportunities, making it an appealing career investment for IT professionals seeking to capitalize on the growing demand for Salesforce skills. Its expanding presence, notably in regions like Australia, further attests to its enduring influence and prospective growth.
In summary, while Salesforce's premium pricing and complexity might deter some smaller organizations, its comprehensive features, scalability, and security make it a go-to solution for many large enterprises aiming to optimize their CRM strategy. The platform's legacy and continuous innovation render it a pivotal component of the modern business software ecosystem.
