Imagine for a moment launching a business with a partner you’ve never actually met in real life. Now imagine doing it as a passion project while maintaining a full-time job. That’s exactly how the co-founders of RSS.com started. They built and launched RSS.com from two different continents without meeting in person for three full years. One thing that I did notice about rss.com specifically when I was looking at hosts, is the transcription option. OP, if that's important to you, I don't believe that's a common thing to find in hosts. Source: 10 months ago
An example of a hosting company is RSS.com. When you sign up, the RSS feed is autogenerated for you and automatically submitted to all the directories you need for your listeners to find you. Source: about 1 year ago
Thank you for the reply. I definitely will reach out about this. We're probably too small for now and only have one show on the network so far, but there is hope for growth and expansion. Hopefully rss.com has a good price option for "the little guy". Source: over 1 year ago
Check out the Adventures in Ashomay podcast. Episodes released weekly 2 episodes are up and another on sunday. They are on Spotify, amazon, pandora, etc. Here is their rss.com site with links:. Source: over 1 year ago
Hello, we're currently on rss.com and it's doing fine overall for us, but I would love some more robust analytics tools. What I'm really interested in is, at an episode level, being able to look at daily listen numbers and run reports like week over week and month over month change. Source: over 1 year ago
Please check out my podcast on rss.com or any where you list to podcast. Like Apple Podcast & Google Podcast . Source: over 1 year ago
RedCircle is my favorite so far. Their free tier is pretty good, and I appreciate the footwork their founder has been doing around reddit. We've used rss.com in the past and they work well. I think I still prefer the analytics of RedCircle. I never have fretted over free website hosting myself. That's something down the road for us at least. Source: over 1 year ago
Hi everyone! I'm new to podcasting and am deciding between Libsyn and Buzzsprout to use as a podcast host. I was hoping to get some opinions on either from people who have used them or have experience! I was also considering rss.com but heard it's not very beginner friendly. Thanks! I'm not storing any podcast data anywhere. It works like any other podcast player: fetching RSS feeds from whatever service the podcast creator uses (anchor, BuzzSprout, rss.com, etc.). Source: over 1 year ago
Thank you! I'll check it out :) I'm definitely looking for options to shift the podcast onto once the first season is over. I figure I can pay for a few months of Buzzsprout, then move it to a place for free since that's an option XD I hadn't seen anything about rss.com or anchor while doing research about podcast distributors, but that's probably because all the paid subscription based distributors get sponsors... I've been mainly using rss.com since it has built in tools to auto-upload to about 5 platforms and you can then manually upload and link to other platforms. Source: almost 2 years ago
Long story short, I get 90% of my downloads from a website that publishes a short article on each episode. So most of my views are coming from an embedded podcast player on a website. What is the best way to do that? I am in contact with sponsors who are asking about specific demographic analytics which I don't have. This is because I have been embedding from RSS.com which doesn't offer very many analytics. I am... Source: almost 2 years ago
What about this website RSS.com ? Has anybody used it? What is the difference between going one way or the other? Source: over 2 years ago
Okay, I started my podcast before finding this sub, and I use rss.com for hosting. Does anyone else use this? I've never seen anyone else mention anything about it. Source: over 2 years ago
I was wondering if any of you have experience with having listeners to your podcast sharing feedback through voice messages? If so, do you use an upload form, dropbox link or is there some smart app for this? I know that Anchor offers this as a part of this service but my podcast is hosted by rss.com. I started my podcast with a small budget. I used Audacity to record/edit - it's a free program. My mic I got as a gift but there are great ones on Amazon for around $30-60. I use a "portable studio" - basically just a cardboard box with 6 sound deadening panels that I got off Amazon for $13. Music I got for free from Pixabay. I use rss.com to host, also free. You could easily start a podcast for ~$40. Hope this... Source: about 3 years ago
I started a podcast a week ago, using rss.com to create the feed and uploaded it to Spotify. But this week when I tried to upload the second episode, I found out I need to pay to use rss, so I used Anchor to create a feed. I deleted the podcast from rss.com, but when I search the title of the podcast, the old one still shows up. The episodes from Anchor show up, and from there I can go to the correct podcast. How...
