  Thank you! That is good to know! I actually bought the plus from costco! But, then read reviews that scared me off and returned it without trying it.( though I should research more) But, now costco has the pro like a month later and no longer the plus. Really I just want it to work. Only thing great with costco if there is a major issue I can return it in 3 months. If I get it from ring.com I only have 30 days. Source: about 3 years ago

• Why can't I go to ring.com?

  I don't know what the heck is going on but I can't open any ring.com or support.ring.com page in Chrome. I even tried turning off all my extentions and I still can't get any page to load. I get a white screen with no content. Source: about 3 years ago

• I am dumping Ring because of the switch to requiring a browser and website instead of an application...

  Whatever their reason is, it was a stupid move to decide to sunset the desktop app, that gave instant quick access to Live view and recordings, for a completely browser based "solution". Just f'ing completely stupid. I can't quickly open up a browser and go to ring.com to check anything. I can't just have browsers and tabs always open when I'm in the middle of a very system resource heavy session... Source: about 3 years ago

• ring doorbell not charging

  My ring doorbell is not charging. Was at 29%, so I brought it inside and plugged it in. After 24 hours it was at 42%, so I unplugged it. Also, tried the trick of pushing the button three times. After being unplugged for 3 hours it is now at 29% again. I tried the help section on ring.com, but it wasn't any help. What to do? Source: over 3 years ago

  Live View on ring.com dashboard doesn't work on any browser for me. I can say dropping into live view from my phone has been pretty smooth so far, and comparing passing cars via the app in person, there's almost no lag - but that's all pretty dependent on how good AT&T coverage is around the cam.   I have used the20% off teacher discount at ring.com many times in past without any trouble (last time was 14 months ago). It is a great discount especially when combined with the 10% off PROTECTSUBSCRIBER coupon. After generating code in verifypass and pasting into code box at checkout I keep get the error, "discount code isn’t valid for the items in your cart ". Any thoughts on this or perhaps a work-around? • Ring Elite Private MAC address

  I might be wrong here, but 1 of my elite stick-up cams will do this. Ring basically did a bad firmware update on some of these, and it is rolling the MAC address each time it powers on. You can see the firmware version if you go to ring.com and log in then look at the "gear" for the doorbell or camera, it won't show on the app. The troublesome version is 11.0.24.   Couldn't agree more. Seems like the Ring Stick Up Elite is out of production (refurbs are sporadically available on Amazon, and at a reasonable price of $80, but no new stock there or at ring.com). Source: almost 4 years ago
