RielSync records the National Bank of Cambodia's daily exchange rate and syncs it into your ERP, POS, or any system with an API, so your books stay compliant.
A startup from Phnom Penh, Cambodia that is founded by Chris Carney.
This page is designed to help you find out whether RielSync is good and if it is the right choice for you.
RielSync records the National Bank of Cambodia's daily official KHR/USD rate and writes it directly into your ERP, POS or any system with an API, so your books always match the published rate without anyone typing it in.
Rather than running on a fixed schedule, RielSync reacts to what the NBC actually publishes, so the rate in your system is the current one rather than yesterday's carried over by habit.
It connects out of the box to Odoo, SambaPOS, QuickBooks Online, Zoho Books and SAP Business One. Custom connectors for other systems are available on the Enterprise plan.
Unlike a general currency API, RielSync doesn't just supply a rate for you to do something with. It handles the whole job, from watching the official source through to writing the correct value into the system your finance team actually works in.
Built for finance and operations teams in dual currency businesses, where a daily copy and paste job quietly goes wrong the moment someone is on leave.

Change driven rate capture
Watches the official National Bank source and picks up each new published rate as it appears, rather than polling on a fixed schedule that can leave yesterday's rate sitting in your system all morning.
Direct write to your finance system
Writes the rate straight into your ERP, POS or accounting platform through its API. No export files, no manual entry, nothing for anyone to forget.
Prebuilt Connectors
Works out of the box with Odoo, SambaPOS, QuickBooks Online, Zoho Books and SAP Business One, with custom connectors available for other systems on the Enterprise plan.
Two way API access
As well as RielSync pushing the rate into your system, you can call the API directly to pull the current official rate into your own applications. Useful for anything not covered by a prebuilt connector, or where you'd rather request the rate on demand than have it written for you.
Most exchange rate tools give you a number and leave the rest to you. RielSync completes the job. It watches the official National Bank source, picks up each rate as it's published rather than on a fixed schedule, and writes it directly into the system your finance team actually works in. It's built around one specific problem rather than being a general currency API you have to wire up yourself.
Most exchange rate services supply the market rate, which moves constantly through the day. That's the right number for trading and the wrong number for accounting. Businesses are expected to book transactions at the official rate set by the National Bank of Cambodia, so a market feed leaves you reconciling against a figure your auditor won't recognise. RielSync settles on the official published rate, which is the one your accounts are actually measured against.
The second difference is scope. A currency API supplies data and leaves the integration work to you. RielSync completes the job, with prebuilt connectors for Odoo, SambaPOS, QuickBooks Online, Zoho Books and SAP Business One, plus a public API if you'd rather pull the rate into your own applications. Nothing to build, and nothing left for someone to type in each morning.
Finance and operations teams at small and mid sized businesses operating in dual currency environments, where the official rate has to be reflected accurately in the books every day. Typically the person who currently does this by hand, and the manager who has to correct it when it goes wrong.
RielSync came out of implementing ERP and POS systems for businesses operating in two currencies. The same problem appeared every time: someone opening the central bank page each morning, copying a number and typing it into the system, with the inevitable gaps whenever they were away or busy. It was small enough that nobody prioritised fixing it and persistent enough that it kept causing reconciliation work. So it got built.
RielSync is built with Next.js and React, written in TypeScript throughout and deployed on Vercel. Account and connection data sits in Postgres, hosted on Neon and accessed through Drizzle ORM, while rate history and delivery records are stored in Cloudflare R2. The codebase is tested with Vitest.
