1. What makes Restryde unique?

   Restryde is built specifically for small subscription businesses, not scaled-down enterprise software. It detects failed Stripe payments in real time and sends AI-personalised recovery emails tailored to the actual reason a payment failed, business voice, approach selection and overall tone selection, rather than one generic template. Has in built in AI Smart Retry Scheduling to detect which days give the highest chance of success. It’s also transparent about where the AI is and isn’t involved right now: the entry tier runs on solid templates with no AI at all, to keep it affordable, rather than dressing up something less capable as more advanced than it is.

2. How would you describe the primary audience of Restryde?

   Small subscription and membership businesses running on Stripe, course creators, membership sites, solo SaaS founders, and subscription-box businesses in particular. Generally bootstrapped or early-stage operators who’ve been underserved by tools designed for much larger companies. Reach will expand from only Stripe over time, but Stripe was the starting point.

3. What's the story behind Restryde?

   I needed something I could build and run entirely remotely, on my own terms, for reasons that matter a lot to me personally. That circumstance shaped the whole approach: it had to be something I could realistically build solo, without a team or outside funding and something that could actually generate real income remotely but also give back to those who use it.

   Restryde itself came out of research, while looking into Stripe for a separate idea, the same problem kept surfacing: subscription businesses losing revenue to failed payments, with existing tools built for companies already doing serious volume, not someone just starting out. That gave me a real problem worth solving.

4. Why should a person choose Restryde over its competitors?

   Most existing tools in this space are built and priced for companies already doing serious volume. Restryde is built for businesses just starting out, at a price point that makes sense for them. It also comes with a recovery guarantee, if it doesn’t recover at least double the subscription cost in the first month, that month is free, so the risk sits with Restryde, not the customer. Also since it’s solo-built, support means talking directly to the person who built it, not a ticket queue.

5. Which are the primary technologies used for building Restryde?

   • React/Vite for the frontend, deployed on Vercel.

   • Supabase (Postgres database, Edge Functions) for the backend.

   • Stripe (Connect for merchant integration, plus Restryde’s own billing).

   • Resend for transactional email.

   • Anthropic’s Claude API for AI-generated recovery emails.

   • Claude Code as the primary development tool throughout.
