Rate Ranger is a free hotel price tracker for after you book. Most trackers stop at the moment you book; this one starts there.
Enter the hotel, the dates and the price you paid. Rate Ranger re-checks the rate on a schedule, more often as check-in approaches, and emails you when a lower rate appears for your hotel and dates on any booking site, with a link to that site. If your booking is refundable, you cancel, rebook at the lower price and keep the difference.
It works with any hotel booking site, needs no account, no app and no card, and there is no limit on how many bookings you track.
Of the bookings Rate Ranger has watched, 41% dropped in price after booking, with an average drop of 18% when a drop was found (production figures, regenerated 2026-08-15).
It earns a commission only if you choose to rebook through a link in an alert; you are never charged.
