I want to open a business Google Workspace account for my domain. But it only let me sign up for the expensive "recommended plan" of €20.70/user/month, and there is no option to choose another plan. I have another domain where I pay €5/user/month. Does anyone here know, will it be possible to downgrade to a cheaper plan in the future? If you have "Business Standard" plans or higher, can you check on the Google... - Source: Hacker News / 12 months ago
> When google phased out the unlimited plan, he's not paying for a non-unlimited plan, and his account entered a read-only state. You make it sound like he could have chosen to keep paying Google under a different plan, but I can't find any way for him to pay Google to keep the data for him short of creating 100+ dummy "users" in his workspace to get their 2TB each (which I'm sure Google would totally be... - Source: Hacker News / about 1 year ago

On mobile, you should be able to left-right swipe through the different tiers. As it would be on https://workspace.google.com/pricing.html. Source: over 1 year ago
The OP mentioned $50 per month per employee. Isn't it per year, not per month? Is that old pricing? I'm looking at https://workspace.google.com/pricing.html and I don't know if this is the right thing, but it'd be $7.20/user/month when paid monthly, which is the important thing if there is turnover. This would be a far cry from $50 per employee per month. Maybe I'm overlooking something? I'm not an expert on this... Source: over 1 year ago
It’s a good question. The main reason is that I wanted to have my own domain for email. Period. Correct me if I’m wrong, but the only way to do that with gmail is to signup for gusite https://workspace.google.com/pricing.html which is $6/Month. I know that’s not much, or any money at all for a business. But for a random individual person like me who’d pay $6 a year for their domain it’s a lot more than others. I... Source: over 1 year ago

Google 12$/mo for 2TB+some smaller things like calls (https://workspace.google.com/pricing.html?utm_source=driveforwork&utm_medium=et&utm_content=seemoreplans&utm_campaign=pricing&hl=en) There obviously are smaller companies offering storage too, which seems to be around 4~5$/(mo and TB), eg https://www.pcloud.com/cloud-storage-pricing-plans.html?period=year https://icedrive.net/plans... - Source: Hacker News / almost 2 years ago
It is not wrong. I pay it every month. https://workspace.google.com/pricing.html The enterprise plan. - Source: Hacker News / almost 2 years ago
Yeah I might have to try talking to them again. Enterprise does say “Contact Sales For Pricing” on this page. https://workspace.google.com/pricing.html. Source: about 2 years ago
So I use to be with the service a while ago. My domain and all expired. So when I go back and sign up, to get unlimited space, I have to contact the sales team. https://workspace.google.com/pricing.html. Source: about 2 years ago
I wouldn't rest my backup system on a service I'm abusing. Dropbox's cost to store terabytes will be well more than $190/yr. It may not be today or next year, but Dropbox can't keep that pricing. Even Google rolled back Google Drive's unlimited storage, and they now say "as much as you need." They're expecting 5TB/user then you pay for storage beyond that level. Source: over 2 years ago
For what it is worth, I believe UF also has a bunch of contracts with other cloud storage that hold considerably more - like One Drive and Dropbox, although I don't know enough to know what is available to students versus faculty. Also, a little known fact, at least right now, is that Google doesn't generally enforce their cloud storage maximums for professional accounts (e.g. gsuits), which means you can pay... As far as ease of use, long duration video calls, security, guaranteed service, and the ability to work on many devices , I would look at Googles Paid offerings. They detail flexible price schedule here and if this is non profit oriented there may be even better pricing. https://workspace.google.com/pricing.html. Source: over 2 years ago
I don't know the prices in Europe. But Google Workspace – Business Plus can get you 10TB for under 40 bucks a month. The confusing thing is you have to add users, not storage space. It's 5TB per user, but that doesn't mean each user has a dedicated 5TB. If you have 4 users you can store 20TB for approx $80/month. Source: over 2 years ago
Maximum of my clients are using Gsuite & Gmass for cold email marketing. Source: over 2 years ago
There are lots of providers who will do most of the work for you and provide the expertise to maintain a healthy service. Indeed its a very competitive industry so they can probably do it more cheaply than what you are currently paying for. Source: over 2 years ago
Unfortunately it’s now just 2TB/user: https://workspace.google.com/pricing.html. Source: over 2 years ago
Pricing page says this: "*Google will provide an initial 5 TB of pooled storage for each user. Customers who want additional storage can request it as needed by contacting Google Support.". Source: almost 3 years ago
