  I too found this in my emails. And funnily enough, that one was in my Spam folder. But I know that not everything in there is necessarily spam.   I spent some time digging into this recently. Xbox Cloud Gaming is built with Rainway. The Rainway client (running on your phone) is decoding video frames and audio on-device. Based on some of the code I read (and what I remember), this is at least partially to determine how in sync it is with the server. It may also be decoding them for other reasons, but this is almost certainly what causes the excess heat on... Source: almost 3 years ago
