  On topic: I am new to this subject and feel I understand the definition of fingerprinting but not the processes. Could you maybe clarify how it is actually used.   Sounds like both abc.com and def.com are both configured in Proofpoint. Sounds like you don't expect abc.com is supposed to be in PP? Perhaps it was defederated in the past and the decom in PP was never completed. Source: 12 months ago

  Okay from what I understand, multiple users are using abc.com and each request calls example.com to fetch data. Rate limiting is applied on example.com. I am also assuming you are owning the code of abc.com. First of all you need a proxy server which handles the requests from abc.com to example.com, if you haven't already implemented.   Let's say your website is abc.com, and someone already has the handle abc on instagram (they are completely inactive).   We have an local AD that has domain of abc.com, but the netbios name is 123. Right now users log into windows desktops as 123\frontdesk1.   I would suggest that you set up icewarp.abc.com and issue everyone on that platform with an [alias@icewarp.abc.com](mailto:alias@icewarp.abc.com) email address, and then you can use that as your routing domain between the 2 platforms. This way during the coexistence period you can have a situation where a user has a mailbox on both platforms but you can forward email to the routing domain without disrupting the... Now we want to be able to Hybrid domain join these computers to xyx tenant, a different tenant.
