Stripe prices are immutable, so re-pricing current subscribers means creating a new price and moving every subscription onto it: proration, batching, rate limits, and rollback included. Most platforms make it worse. PMPro, MemberPress, beehiiv, Ghost, and Substack all create real Stripe subscriptions in your own account but only apply a price change to new signups, leaving existing customers grandfathered on the old rate.
