My study blocks are usually done using a Pomodoro timer, I like using pomofocus.io -you can assign tasks to each "block" so you know what you'll be working on, and it helps you prioritize. Source: 10 months ago

  • I added Settings for my side project (Pomodoro timer) - Pomotastic
Which might be fine, if the copy has something better. So, what does your copy of https://pomofocus.io/ do better? Source: 10 months ago
  • I added Settings for my side project (Pomodoro timer) - Pomotastic
How is this not just a copy of https://pomofocus.io/ and why should anyone use your timer instead of the original? Source: 10 months ago
  • Transition question/howto go back to study mode after taking gap years
Third and more specific is utilize tools that help you stay focused. Iā€™d say the hardest part for me was going from being able to clock out of my job as a researcher to having to be on all the time as a med student. Things like using the pomodoro technique while studying (25 min on, 5 min off, repeat and take a longer break after 4 cycles) helped me immensely with that. I use this website https://pomofocus.io/. • Tip for making it through long outlines!
I incorporate the Pomodoro method into my reading. For those who don't know, the Pomodoro technique is 25 minutes of working, 5 minute break, cycle through 4 times until you earn a 15 minute break. This timer helps with the pomo cycles. Source: 10 months ago
  • Daily random discussion - Jun 05, 2023
Here's the link in case you guys wanna try it https://pomofocus.io/. Source: 11 months ago
  • How can I use this to my advantage.
For starter can use this https://pomofocus.io. Source: 11 months ago
  • I'm in a cycle of dropping out colleges & I keep trying to tell myself I can do it. (The failure cycle is too strong)
Next, do a few pomodos(read up on the Pomodoro technique if you need to) without distractions/phone around, then take a break (If you can take a walk outside, that's a bonus). IMO, at FULL focus 10 pomodoros a day (5h) is a lot just so you can calibrate your expectations (start with a lower goal). Working at full focus leads to significant momentum where the seemingly impossible becomes possible again. Source: 11 months ago
  • [QUESTION] What are your favorite healthy habits for the workplace?
If I'm feeling particularly distracted, un-motivated or procrastinate-y, I use a pomodorro timer like this: https://pomofocus.io/. Source: 12 months ago

  • Launched my pet project - Pomotastic
You have literally copied another website. Which is probably fine, if you declare it clearly and give credit to the original, but you are not doing that. You are not mentioning https://pomofocus.io anywhere in your website. Source: 12 months ago
  • Launched my pet project - Pomotastic
But isn't this basically a copy of https://pomofocus.io but kind of worse? Source: 12 months ago
  • setInterval slows down in inactive tabs, especially on Mac and iPhone
I see that websites like https://pomodor.app/timer and https://pomofocus.io/ somehow were able to fix this f***g problem. But how?... Source: 12 months ago

Nice work! Congrats on launching. Looks very similar to https://pomofocus.io/ šŸ˜‰. Source: 12 months ago
  • Do you ever get jealous of faster writers?
This is a skill you learn. If you aren't someone who can naturally concentrate on a task which is likely the case if you are struggling to write 200 words, you should be doing that very very quickly. I recommend you use a pomo timer. https://pomofocus.io/ as an example. Lock your phone, throw it to the other side of the room, whatever, just don't have it on you. 25 minutes work, 5 minutes break in-between each... Source: 12 months ago
  • Made something for the Community!!!
I am already using this https://pomofocus.io/ , can you add these features in ur website ? Source: about 1 year ago
  • Cards per session
I am answering around 700-800 cards a day. I get through that in about 3 25-minute increments. A great tool I use is https://pomofocus.io - just a simple 25 minute timer. I find if I limit distractions, put my phone in a different room, 25 minutes is about the longest I can focus then take a 5 minute break. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Any self taught programmers?
Https://pomofocus.io/ Was the site I used for the pomodoro timer. Source: about 1 year ago
