Lately I'm really inspired by the UI design of folks like Fors.fm and teenage.engineering, so everything is hand coded: waveform display, dials and sliders, and all the other UI elements. Source: 5 months ago
Has a Teenage Engineering vibe imo, which is a fan-favorite here. https://teenage.engineering/. - Source: Hacker News / 6 months ago
Are you kidding? You probably have no idea about the hardware design firm that was involved, or about Panic's stellar reputation as a software engineering shop, huh? Source: 6 months ago
I see it was designed in conjunction with Teenage Engineering which explains the look of it. They're famous in the music world for making quirky and interesting synths and music equipment: https://teenage.engineering/ Which explains the fairly steep price, Teenage Engineering is also famous for being quite expensive. - Source: Hacker News / 7 months ago
Lighting and materials. However I would counter sink those bolts and maybe swap them for torx or Allen heads and make them black and smaller (use the bolt add on). Then make the counter sunk hole as actual geometry on the model so you get some light catching on the edges. Also bevel or add a chamfer to your edges. And reference music gear so that you have a better understanding of form. Study these folks! Source: 9 months ago
I’d recommend the PO series from Teenage Engineering. They provide a lot of different potable and multifunctional devices which are compatible with one another so you can use different devices with different functions and assets together (like having a portable band) In my area one must pay about 100€ for one, so even two of those would fit your budget. Remember that good continuity has DFM benefits as well, makes it easier for parts to be injection moulded or die cast because it causes less wear on the dies. I'd argue that for consumer electronics, g-2 or g3 continuity is really a non-negotiable unless you're Teenage Engineering or Nothing, and I'd even suspect the corner fillets on their stuff would be pretty carefully constructed. I've totally fallen for the Swedish synth-makers and electronic gizmo creators, Teenage Engineering. - Source: dev.to / about 2 years ago
Anything made by Teenage Engineering springs to mind. Source: about 2 years ago
It's a love letter to past times, with little extras. It's made in partnership with Teenage Engineering, which created all sorts of little (and bigger) devices like this, mostly for audio. https://teenage.engineering/. - Source: Hacker News / about 2 years ago

Hi there!I want to let you know that this is exactly what I have been looking for as well, having similar parts. As another post stated, the only one I was able to find was jonsplus (or jonsbo) BO 100. Its is much more expensive than I cared to spend, at least on eBay (I'm also not very superbuy or tabao inclined, but I have checked all over there!) Some cases have a similar style (abee w1, TE Computer-1 )... Source: over 2 years ago

I love their (Teenage Engineering's) gear, but their interfaces are always so small and cramped- but it's portability and form factor are also part of their appeal- beyond the sound and features. Source: about 3 years ago
I read this and was ready to blow this off as just a jerk-off new start-up until I read further and saw that they have guys from teenage engineering on design. That actually really intrigues me. For anyone unaware, teenage engineering is known for really unique uhh "lo-fi" electronics design—notably synthesizers but all sorts of odd stuff like a gorgeous minimalist boombox and the handheld game console with a...
