  The way to play bo1 safely on pc is using the plutonium client, it pretty much patches all the rce exploits happening around there and there, however it doesnt have game_mod support tho so thats a yikes. Source: over 1 year ago

  Hey man the BO2 servers are still active every day - there’s not thousands of people on but Team Deathmatch pretty much always has lobbies. There are a few man with hack menu on console but I think on PC there’s a client (maybe Plutonium?) that takes care of hackers. By and large it’s still every bit as fun as it was back in the day.
