Before you get COVID, both of you should discuss with your doctor if you would be a good candidate for Paxlovid or any other COVID therapeutic med should you become ill. Be sure to ask if there are any daily Rx meds you should hold on during treatment. Also make a plan for how you will get a script after hours or over a weekend. • Any membership-based primary care practices around here? Or doctors who are super responsive?
There’s an online practice called Plushcare. The company I work for offers it as a benefit and I’ve used it for urgent virtual care visits. They’ve been really good. But they also offer primary care. I have no idea how that works when you need to get labs and in-person exams done - which is why I chose to stick with my regular PCP. But thought I’d mention it. They are super easy to book with and really good about... Source: almost 3 years ago
  • Online Platform Prescriptions
Anyone had luck using an online prescription service to get an MAOI prescription? I'm talking about one of the platforms set up specifically for quick prescription-writing -- lemondaidhealth.com (bad example in this particular context, as it looks like they have a set list of ADs / related drugs they'll prescribe, and MAOIs aren't on it, but you get the idea), pushhealth.com, plushcare.com, etc. -- as opposed to a... Not since day 7ish? I had an online consult with the doctors at plushcare.com. Theyre pretty great. Since I have asthma and was coughing up green phlegm they prescribed me anti biotics (zpack) cleared the chest congestion in 1 day. Source: over 3 years ago
  • A bit tmi, but…
So I am not affiliated with this website but I moved from NY to FL and haven't found new HCPs yet so I have used plushcare.com for a few telehealth appointments (including a spider bite! So exciting!). I only suggest it because it was quick, painless, and I got the info I needed to take the next steps. You might be instructed to go to an ER. You might be instructed to take two Tylenols and eat more vegetables.... Source: over 3 years ago
  • Going through some shit. Need Advice.
I read a case study on phenibut withdrawal (link below). Can you get your hands on baclofen? The study I'm including below is just one - I've read a lot more on the use of baclofen during phenibut detox. I'm not sure what your situation is with talking to a doctor, but I'm thinking you could just do an e-visit (like plushcare.com), say you've been given baclofen before for a muscle spasm in your back or something... Summary of the public mentions of PlushCare

PlushCare is a telemedicine provider that facilitates virtual healthcare services, fitting squarely within the realms of Health and Fitness, Healthcare, and Pharmacy Tools. The platform has garnered a range of public opinions, reflecting both appreciation for its services and some uncertainties about its offerings, especially concerning logistics related to medical care.

Positive Reception and Notable Features

The predominant sentiment around PlushCare is favorable, with users highlighting the convenience and accessibility of its telehealth services. The company’s ability to offer timely medical consultations, especially in urgent scenarios, is often praised. As evident from various user experiences, PlushCare provides an efficient means to address health concerns without the delays often associated with traditional healthcare settings. This is particularly valuable in situations requiring prompt medical intervention, such as new health conditions or prescription needs.

Additionally, PlushCare’s virtual medical consultations are appreciated for their simplicity and ease of use. Users have found the appointment booking process straightforward and the interactions with healthcare professionals on the platform to be helpful and informative. The positive experiences reported by those who have used PlushCare for prescription services further reflect the platform’s competence in handling routine healthcare requirements.

Expansion into New Areas

A representative of PlushCare mentioned that the company plans to extend its services by offering video therapy sessions nationwide. While PlushCare already offers online therapy services in California, the expansion could widen the platform's reach and established convenience, potentially attracting a broader audience interested in mental health services. This anticipated expansion aligns well with the growing demand for online mental health services, especially in the post-pandemic era where teletherapy has gained significant traction.

Differentiation and Market Positioning

In terms of competitive positioning, PlushCare holds its ground against other notable telemedicine brands such as Lemonaid Health, Doctor On Demand, and GoodRx. The platform’s comprehensive approach to virtual healthcare—from urgent care to online therapy—appears to differentiate it by offering a broad spectrum of services under one umbrella. However, some users express dissatisfaction stemming from the limitations inherent in telemedicine, such as physical examinations and laboratory tests, which require in-person interactions.

Public Queries and Considerations

Despite the overall positive tone, there are inquiries about the logistics of certain medical procedures through PlushCare. Users who require extensive diagnostic tests or treatments that necessitate physical examinations might find limitations with the platform. Nonetheless, PlushCare's role as a supplementary or intermediary healthcare service is generally well-regarded. Users indicate contentment with the speed of booking and receiving care, suggesting that the platform succeeds in its promise of delivering convenient healthcare solutions.

Conclusion

Overall, PlushCare is perceived as a competent and reliable player in the telemedicine industry, offering notable convenience and access in the realm of virtual healthcare. While it stands to enhance its offerings to fully encompass all facets of medical care in line with its planned expansions, users endorse its existing services for their efficiency and ease of use. Looking forward, its potential nationwide expansion into video therapy supports its intention to stay relevant and potentially ahead in the ever-evolving landscape of telehealth services.
