So I created another account to test and I don't see my server. So I added my test account as my server's friend and allowed access, and I can watch on machine connected via internet. is this the right process? if I can achieve this by just adding as friend and logging into plex.com, then what is the purpose of reverse proxy? And do I even enable remote access options on my plex server? Source: 5 months ago
Went to plex.com for something and that was spot #2. Source: about 2 years ago
I know the trick of finding the log version name of your previous server and changing the URL on plex.com to download an old versino of the server but since Plex is well ahead of what qnap rolls out I'm not even sure what server version I had manually installed before this one. So my guess was that the entry point via plex.com points to my ipv4 url with is not reachable and not to my Custom server access URLs which is set to https://mydomain.com. Source: almost 3 years ago
