I use pixilart.com and then arrange the sprites/tiles in google drawings. Pixilart's great because it stores all your art in an Instagram-like cloud thing, and google drive's google drive so that's self explanatory. So first, your game reminds me of a flash game I would play in a web browser as kid, which is bad. I'm an awful artist too so take my opinion with a grain of salt, but I think the biggest issue for me is the inconsistent pixel sizes. At fullscreen, I couldn't tell that your characters were pixel art, but your effects and environment sprites were. So first piece of advice is draw everything in a single canvas size,... I like it. I do think the cheese cold be a little more stringy. No sauce? There are places that have daily challenges. Look up pixel dallies here on reddit. Also lospec.com or pixilart.com has challenges. I like lospec cause they have a different palette to try to use. It adds a lillte challenge. Source: almost 4 years ago
