1. What makes PitchMap unique?

4. What's the story behind PitchMap?

   PitchMap was started by founder and CEO Cameron Yemmi, who came from a sales and business development background and kept running into the same problem: the right partner, client or investor was often only a few streets away, and neither side ever found out.

   The idea was to make that invisible layer visible — a real-time, geospatial opportunity network where people, ideas and needs show up on a map instead of disappearing into a feed. PitchMap grew out of that into a full platform with opportunity posts, events, groups and travel mode, all organised around where you actually are.

5. Which are the primary technologies used for building PitchMap?

   PitchMap is a web application built on a modern JavaScript stack:

   • Next.js / React for the front end, served as a fast, responsive web app that works on desktop and mobile browsers.
   • Mapbox GL JS with a custom map style for the live map, clustering and geospatial rendering.
   • A dedicated REST API (api.pitchmap.app) handling discovery, profiles, opportunities, events, groups and messaging.
   • Geospatial queries for proximity search, so nearby people and posts are resolved in real time from your location or your travel-mode pin.
