Idk what you might be doing wrong, and I'm not in the tutorial business, but I highly recommend giving the latest version of PCSX2 and a random YouTube tutorial another shot, it's gonna be a lot easier than jailbreaking your PS3. Either way good luck have fun. Source: 5 months ago

Download PCSX2 and obtain a P3 ISO. If you want to be a goody two shoes and do it the legal way, buy a copy of the game and dump it into an ISO yourself, or you can go the seven-seas route and just look for it online. Source: 10 months ago
Honestly, PCSX2 is considered the best PS2 Emulator on PC. Just explore the site, follow the directions, and then download a build. Https://pcsx2.net/. Source: 11 months ago
I'm guessing you're trying to play the PS2 games. Most of the cores in RA are just copies of already existing emulators, and sometimes they're worse than the originals. Try using standalone PCSX2 instead. Source: 11 months ago
Are you sure you've been downloading from the PCSX2 official site? The download link is right there in their home page, first thing you see. It should be a direct download without redirection. Source: 11 months ago

Since there are multiple comments asking, this is PS2's Dragon Quest VIII running on PCSX2 using ItsJustScuf's texture pack. I've been playing/streaming this on my twitch channel CrabdaddyLonglegs if you're interested. Source: about 1 year ago
For the PS2 I'd go with PCSX2. The stable version is way out-of-date so you should download the latest nightly release build. Source: about 1 year ago

Emulate Jak X using PCSX2. Make sure to download the nightly version. Jak X is a much faster and more mechanically complex Mario Kart with guitars and edge. Don't recommend playing it if you care about playing the older Jak games, since it will spoil quite a few things. Source: about 1 year ago
