  • It would be awesome if someone made a mod to turn WotR into a character builder for PF1E TTRPG
There are already character builders to PnP Pathfinder like PCGen and Pathbuilder 1e. Or are you talking about modding WotR for managing a PnP campaign? That's a much bigger ask, since there aren't really any dev-supported tools for user-generated content the way, say, Neverwinter Nights did. Source: 10 months ago
  • PCGen v.6.09.06 Released!
I jumped onto their website http://pcgen.org and a comment says they're looking into it. 6.09.06 has a problem, 6.09.05 does not. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Does Pathfinder have a site in the same way that D&D has D&D Beyond??
If it's for 1e, though it isn't web-based and looks like a programme from the 90s, I swear by PCGen as the best character builder by far. Source: over 1 year ago
  • How To: Learn Pathfinder 1e
PCGen is free, open source, and reasonably complete. Source: over 1 year ago
  • The D&D Beyond equivalent to Pathfinder
It looks like a programme from the 90s, but if you're referring to 1e, I swear that PCGen is by far the best character builder. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Is there a build planner or something similar somewhere?
There are some generic Pathfinder builders like PCGen and PF Autosheet, but nothing specifically for Kingmaker AFAIK. So it's mostly trial-n-error plus consulting the KM wiki to figure out how to plan your builds. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Planning Builds
There are generic builder tools like PCGen and Pathfinder AutoSheet, but they're meant for PnP character so you've got to do your homework to figure what's actually in WotR. And they don't include any homebrew archetypes which Owlcat added. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Looking for an offline character builder for 5e
Maybe http://pcgen.org/ but I haven't used it since back when Pathfinder came out. Source: over 1 year ago
  • 3.5 in a Digital format?
If you are feeling adventurous you can try PCGen, which is a free character creator with an oldschool interface and a rather steep learning curve. It only comes with core SRD character options included, but if you look for BahamutDragon's Dataset on github it covers most of the official books. Source: over 1 year ago
  • New player looking for resources
Http://pcgen.org is really useful for managing character gen stuff for pathfinder. It does have a few instabilities, but it has a fairly complete set of options if you set up the sources right. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Pathfinder Kingmaker player looking to recreate character for the tabletop which I have never played.
Pathbuilder is a character builder for Pathbuilder 2e. If you're looking for a Pathfinder 1e character creator, I'd recommend: PCGen . Select your system, load up your source books, and you have almost every aspect of the system available. Source: over 1 year ago
  • can i have links to some good 3.5 character sheets?
I personally like to use this one....http://pcgen.org/. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Antagonist with Character Sheets/Levels
Trying to run 5 different characters I was unfamiliar with (even with PCGen giving me the sheets as stat blocks) took so long that combat kind of ground to a halt. It was kind of like what would have actually happened it such a fight; 5 random strangers, while powerfull, cannot stand up a party that has been adventuring together and has devolved strategy and tactics. Source: about 2 years ago
  • I'm a designer looking for feedback on what you struggle with in sessions for a new tool I'm designing
PCGen used to be my go-to recommendation, but since Oracle bought Java it's kinda gotten hard to install/run. Source: about 2 years ago
  • I am looking for an interactive cyoa that has plenty of skills and magic and options for character design.
Http://pcgen.org/ open source character builder I like to use for pathfinder, has basically all the content that you can turn on or off based on source (what books stuff is from). Https://www.d20pfsrd.com/ Pathfinder has most of its first party content available free from here, so just look through it if you want to read the content. Source: about 2 years ago
  • Working with player to adjust overpowered character
For #2, I'd probably recommend PCGen, as it's totally free, just a bit of a pain to set up if you use 3PP or some alternative content. Roll20 also includes a PF1E character generator, but would require the purchase of any non-basic/3rd party content. Foundry VTT may have a similar module. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Want to plan a character before I play
Not really: I haven't seen an online builder specifically for Kingmaker/WotR. You can use a generic Pathfinder 1e builder like PCGen, except Owlcat didn't fully implement PnP rules so you have to keep checking the wiki to see if you used a feat or something which doesn't exist in WotR. Source: over 2 years ago
  • With both Pathfinder Nexus and the Pathbuilder webversion being exclusively for 2E, what do you use to keep track of you characters in 1E? (Aside from pen and paper of course)
PCGen or Pathbuilder to create, then transfer info to AwesomeSheet for simplicity/portability. Source: over 2 years ago
  • With both Pathfinder Nexus and the Pathbuilder webversion being exclusively for 2E, what do you use to keep track of you characters in 1E? (Aside from pen and paper of course)
There’s also PCgen, but it’s not serviced anymore. It also gets stuff wrong, so you have to know how to proofread a character sheet. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Syrinscape integration?
PCgen is the 'last man standing' of the old school character tracking utilities. The guy that wrote it has been playing RPG games at least as long as I have, he's amazing. Http://pcgen.org/. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Is there any way to plan a character online?
You can try PCGen; it doesn't have a WotR-specific ruleset but you can probably fake it to some extent. Though personally I find it rather slow and cumbersome to use, so YMMV. Source: over 2 years ago
