  • Seeking information about our passwordless solution

  • Bitwarden Acquires Passwordless.dev
(Full disclosure: I work at https://passage.id) WebAuthn is the short name for the "FIDO Alliance Web Authentication Protocol". "Passkey" is the trade name (that Apple tries to own) for the "stuff" that results from using the WebAuthn protocol. At it's root, a passkey is really the private key portion of that "stuff" that is kept. So yes, in practice, a passkey is the result of a WebAuthn implementation. • Why Passkeys are Better than Passwords
Every day we grow closer to a passwordless world. We here at Passage are doing what we can to make that happen for everyone. We all carry devices with us that can be used to easily declare who we are, normally via a fingerprint or face scan. All new laptops have fingerprint readers. Passkeys leverage these new technologies to drastically increase the security of your accounts. Apple has introduced passkeys into... - Source: dev.to / over 1 year ago
  • Building an Angular App with Passwordless Authentication
We here at Passage are all about creating a passwordless world that makes our online lives a whole lot more secure. Angular developers can join that world and quickly integrate Passage’s solution into their applications. I’ll show you how. - Source: dev.to / over 1 year ago
  • Building a Go app with Passwordless Authentication
Im a big fan of passwordless. Although biometrics can get a bad rap, I like the approach by https://passage.id/ in which they focus on security in that the biometric data never leaves the user's device. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • PMs of reddit, what are some emerging trends you are seeing with new products?
Checked out passage.id, looks great! Love that it's free up to 5K MAUs. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • [AskJS] What are the best practices when creating a login flow?
I've used and love https://passage.id/ but do your own research. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Will frictionless login become the norm in the future?
Agreed with this. We saw a shocking percentage of login failures with un/pw - most likely due to people forgetting their passwords. We have switched to frictionless, device-native login using https://passage.id/ and have seen a large drop in login failures. The shift is happening. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • We are seeing a shift to frictionless login - what will come out of it?
Although biometrics can get a bad rap, I like using device native login, with magic links as a backup. https://passage.id/ does this well + is dev friendly. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • What's a good dev-friendly product or tool for login?
Reddit has recommended https://passage.id/ in the past for frictionless login. We switched to it a while ago and are happy. Two lines of code and some CSS is all it takes. Users login with their native device login (touch ID, etc) or get a magic link via email if not available. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Angular devs - what are some lesser known tools/products that work great with Angular
Karma as a test runner, but that's pretty commonly know. For something lesser known, we use https://passage.id/ to create frictionless login (using what users use to unlock their device) which works great with Angular. Cheers. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Web entrepreneurs - what is something you wish you did way before you actually did it?
It was so easy to implement a frictionless login (we used https://passage.id/ after some research on reddit) that I wish we had done it wayyyy sooner. We have seen login tickets go way down and a higher success rate at the login screen. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • React devs - what is one of your go-to tools or products that work well with React?
For a device native biometric login, we use https://passage.id/ - works well with React and our clients love it. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Is frictionless login the way of the future on iOS?
Checked out https://passage.id/ - looks fantastic, thanks for sharing. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • B2C SaaS owners - what do you use for login/authentication?
We went with a biometrics solution: https://passage.id/. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • What are some things that get a bad rap, but are actually quite secure?
One example of this is https://passage.id/ which is about as secure as you can get. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Still new to android development and struggling with implementing good signup/login flows. Suggestions?
There are a lot of ways to do this but I suggest using a software build for seamless login. I'm a fan of device native biometrics for login, using what the user is already doing to unlock their phones. I've done a bunch of research and testing with this and the best I've found is https://passage.id/ because it's device native, super secure - doesn't store any passwords/hashes, and free up to 5K MAUs. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • What is something simple that is ofter overlooked when it comes to UX?
I helped them implement a new biometric software recently (we used https://passage.id/ after some research) and it was a game changer. Now people can login with their fingerprint or face, and the login issue tickets have to nearly 0. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Freelance and agency-based web devs of reddit, what is something you see as an emerging trend for newer web apps and SaaS products?
Enter biometric authentication, my observed upward trend. I have not only noticed more products using it - but my team has began insisting on it. We use https://passage.id/ because it's device native and dev friendly, but there are several out there. Now, users can login with a finger or face instead of the dreaded password.
