If you buy the RCT2 pack (https://store.steampowered.com/app/285330/RollerCoaster_Tycoon_2_Triple_Thrill_Pack/) then you can run OpenRCT Project (https://openrct2.org/) on top of it Highly recommend. Source: 10 months ago

  • Well I'm going to go cry myself to sleep now
OpenRCT2 is honestly the best implementation of Rollercoaster Tycoon for Android. It is the original RCT2 that you can run on your Android device. It also has Scenarios and the best sandbox mode. Setup is kinda long but ultimately worth it. Source: 12 months ago
  • is it OpenTTD in this random meme I found?
Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 has its own open source oroject too, if you want to play it. r/openrct2 Https://openrct2.org/. Source: 12 months ago
  • Is there any way to play rct on win10?
Some volunteers created a replacement of the whole engine. It's called OpenRCT2. https://openrct2.org/ It does still require the assets from the original game disc though. It mainly focuses on RCT2 but RCT1 can also be added. Source: almost 1 year ago
  • Oh and World Peace *launches rollercoaster directly into neighboring park* [OC]
Just FYI for any Rollercoaster Tycoon fans out there: there's an open-source remake of the game engine called OpenRCT2. It requires the original game files to run, but the engine supports a bunch of modern hardware features and includes a bunch of QoL improvements. Source: about 1 year ago

  • Whats your favorite childhood video game?
Alright, but seriously (well that's serious, too), have you tried OpenRCT2? It's a free fan-made launcher for RCT2 that can also import RCT1 scenarios so you can play both. You have to own the games and point to an install of them for the assets, so they stay out of legal trouble. Source: about 1 year ago

  • Please help my niece!
If you still have the discs for 1 and 2 and a pc for her to use. I recommend installing the discs and install OpenRTC2 a free mod by players. It patches the game for newer windows os and hardware. Uses and merges files from both rct1 and 2 files (that is why you need them installed). Introduces new features that official rollercoaster tycoon re-releases do not have. A multiplayer mode for you and your niece if you... Source: over 1 year ago
