OpenQR generates QR codes entirely in your browser. No watermark, no size cap and no sign-up, with export to PNG, JPEG and WebP up to 4096px plus true-vector SVG and PDF for print. Styling covers colours, gradients, dot and corner shapes, logo embedding and "scan me" frames, and it handles URL, text, email, phone, SMS, WhatsApp, Wi-Fi, vCard and map location payloads. Because generation is client-side, the contents of your code never reach a server.

A free account adds 3 editable dynamic codes: the destination lives behind a short link you control, so you can repoint a printed code without reprinting it. Those come with scan analytics, and the free tier shows 7 days of scans by country.

Pro (£9/month or £72/year) lifts that to unlimited dynamic codes and adds full analytics history, town and region detail, device and referrer breakdowns with CSV export, a branded subdomain, and password-protected codes.

For developers and automation there is a free REST API with a published OpenAPI spec, a hosted Model Context Protocol (MCP) server so AI assistants can create and manage codes directly, a dependency-free TypeScript SDK, and integrations for Zapier, n8n, Make and Raycast.

The generator is open source under AGPL-3.0 and self-hosts as a standard Next.js app needing no database, environment variables or secrets. The dynamic-code and analytics layer runs as the hosted service at openqr.uk.
