I needed a 1800 number for my business, and paying for a second phone line and getting a second phone is overpriced for what I needed. for 10 bucks a month, OpenPhone allows me to have a 1800 number right on my own cell phone through their app. So my personal calls don't get mixed up with my business calls. The app is easy to use, has a voicemail feature, and call forwarding for when I'm out and don't want to use data.
I usually use VOIP with openphone.com and use her phone when I am on the go... But now need a phone for something simple and was looking to sign up with Public mobile for the $15 / month my wife had, but NOW ITS GONE!!! Dang those bastards. Source: 11 months ago

Check out openphone.co. Been using them and it's fantastic. They're growing and adding integrations pretty frequently. My business is not phone intensive, but I've had very few problems in the 2 years I've been using them. Mobile, web, and desktop clients as well. Source: over 2 years ago
