I've used OpenKJ for years after having previously running Tricerasoft JustKaraoke. Tricerasoft is out of business, but the software is "out there". OpenKJ is completely free. I run it from my Ubuntu laptop, but it's also on Mac & PC. Source: about 4 years ago
A free option is openkj.org, you will need your own songs though. Other than that I'd suggest Karafun, it's only $10 a month. Not aware of any virtual karaoke programs. Source: over 4 years ago
Https://openkj.org was the software I used when running karaoke shows. And at https://okjsongbook.com/ singers could submit their songs to your computer through the app. It's amazing software. Source: over 4 years ago
