  • AI Coding Tip 020 - Create a Second Brain
Set up OpenClaw or a local LLM (Ollama or LM Studio) to index your vault and answer questions via Telegram or WhatsApp, as a private assistant that never sends your data to the cloud. - Source: dev.to / about 2 months ago
  • Securely Deploying OpenClaw on a VPS With Enterprise Grade Access Control
This post is that missing piece. It covers the mental model, the decisions you'll face, the risk surface, and the traps that waste hours. It's opinionated. I built and hardened an OpenClaw deployment on a Linux VPS, and these are the things I wish someone had laid out for me before I started typing commands. - Source: dev.to / 3 months ago
  • Hijacking OpenClaw with Claude
If you've come this far to read my post I'm assuming you know what OpenClaw is ยฏ_(ใƒ„)/ยฏ I mean it's not like it has the largest growing repo in history ยฏ_(ใƒ„)/ยฏ. - Source: dev.to / 3 months ago
  • Stop Configuring the Same LLMs Over and Over: Introducing LLMC
Take Claude Code: while you can use other models, there is a persistent nudge suggesting that things "just work better" if you stay within the Anthropic paid subscription. We see similar patterns with GeminiCLI, Qwen Code, and OpenClaw. - Source: dev.to / 3 months ago
  • Meet Friedrich Niche: The OpenClaw Personality That Refuses to Make You Comfortable
He is part of famous-souls, a drop-in personality pack for OpenClaw agents. One SOUL.md file, and your assistant stops being a yes-machine. - Source: dev.to / 3 months ago
  • I scored 163 real emails on how well an AI agent can read them. Most of them are terrible.
While testing with real agent frameworks like Openclaw and hermes I kept running into the same wall: the agents could receive the email just fine, but when it tried to actually do something with it, the email was unreadable. Every link wrapped in a 200-character tracking redirect. Invisible Unicode characters scattered through the body. OTP codes buried in template noise. Some were instantly interpreted, but... - Source: dev.to / 3 months ago
  • Developers don't hate visual workflows. They hate the magic.
If you use OpenClaw, Flow Weaver runs as a native plugin. Tell your assistant what you want automated, and it builds, validates, and compiles the workflow for you. The agent uses AI for individual steps like classification or summarization, but the routing between steps is compiled and deterministic. No skipped steps, no wrong routing, same result every run. - Source: dev.to / 3 months ago
  • Completion-Triggered Orchestration: Why We Stopped Scheduling Our AI Pipeline
The implementation lives in a pipeline state manager. When a stage updates an itemโ€™s status, it calls a trigger-next function that maps the new status to the correct downstream cron and fires it immediately through the OpenClaw API. The original 9 downstream crons were disabled but not deleted, preserving their configuration as a fallback. - Source: dev.to / 3 months ago
  • If you're running OpenClaw, you probably got hacked in the last week
    > All from WhatsApp, Telegram, or any chat app you already use. The _entire point_ is "give me access to email, calendar, whatsapp, telegram, and I'll do your admin". > "Well, you could just not give it your data" This is the "you're holding it wrong"[1] argument [0] https://openclaw.ai/. • not-claw: A Personal AI Agent That Lives in Telegram and Thinks in Notion
Inspired by OpenClaw, the open-source personal agent framework that stores state as Markdown files on disk, not-claw replaces that flat-file layer with Notion. The agent reads a Soul page to know who it is. It reads a Memory page to remember what it's learned. It queries a Skills database for instructions on how to do things. It manages a Tasks database as its work queue. Every 30 minutes, a heartbeat wakes it up... - Source: dev.to / 3 months ago

This tool is really great! I now open my Telegram and just ask it to give me a report on what is done and what still needs to be done and it gives me a complete report. I use it primarily as a coding assistant and I work in a coworking space with many people who use it as well.
