  • Show HN: Automate your studio โ€“ mute a mixer channel to turn your PTZ camera
Yeah really is a cool protocol. I use it with my Behringer X Touch Compact to control the grandMA3 onPC software to get physical playbacks. X Touch MIDI goes into a piece of software called open stage control https://openstagecontrol.ammd.net/ which runs https://github.com/xxpasixx/pam-osc which then translates the MIDI messages to the correct OSC commands to send... - Source: Hacker News / 10 months ago
  • Advice on triggering content
Run Open Stage Control on the computer as well. Create a basic interface with buttons for each of the products (you can do a lot of customisation in OSC, including adding images and all sorts), for each button set the OSC address to trigger the button in companion that corresponds to the video you want to play. Launch the server, and on the tablet connect to the server through a web client. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Help using MIDI OUT from M32
First thought that popped into my head was to write a custom module in Open Stage Control that watched for that MIDI value and issued the commands you want. Source: over 2 years ago
  • TouchOSC Bitwig Performance Controller (Work In Progress)
Obligatory shout-out to Open Stage Control, which is open source and works on any browser. Source: over 2 years ago
  • R-KONTROL - Bitwig controller app for iOS
Not only Android, but everything that has a browser: https://openstagecontrol.ammd.net/. Source: almost 3 years ago
  • Remote control DAW from soundbooth?
There's also Open Stage Control which looks to be pretty similar. That would let you open it as a web server on your computer and connect to it over WiFi from your phone browser. Upside is that it's free (as in price), but would take some setting up and probably a bit of know-how as far as computer networking goes. Source: over 3 years ago
  • clog + cl-collider experience
This is cool! I've been doing a similar thing but with open stage control for the ui, communicating back to cl via osc. But keeping everything together has advantages too. Would you mind sharing your code? Source: over 3 years ago
  • Looking for a midi keyboard to fit my needs, help needed!
Perhaps you could program the missing function using TouchOSC on your phone. Open StageControl is a good free option if you can set up a server on a computer or RPi and sort out OSC or CoreMIDI over a network to your phone and iPad. Source: over 4 years ago
  • Daft Punk's Pyramid Rig: Two Touch Screens, Two BCF2000s, and four Minimoog Voyagers all connected to a "supercomputer" that runs Ableton as well as a custom lighting program
That said, I was pleasantly surprised by Open Stage Control, which is free, open source, explicitly supports Linux, and can be controlled from almost anything with a web browser. Source: over 4 years ago
