For older versions of Lineage, there was a download at https://opengapps.org/ to choose f.e the pico package. Also, the OpenGapp package for Lineage 18 did not contain many Google tools. The help pages of lineage/openGapps is pointing to https://wiki.lineageos.org/gapps where a download for any unknown version is available. Choosing this package for Lineage 19, I got the whole advertisement for Google back. :-(. Source: over 2 years ago
For GAPPS it did not work with the suggested GAPPS since I got an error, so I used OpenGAPPS based on this form, install GAPPS error. I downloaded and installed gapps from https://opengapps.org/ with the settings ARM64, 11.0, nano. Source: over 2 years ago

Flash a suitable GApps package and you'll have the Google store. Alternatively, install the Aurora Store if you don't want to Googleise your phone. You can also sideload apks from APK Mirror or the like. Bear in mind that some apps require Google Play Services and/or Google Services Framework. Source: over 2 years ago
Nice. Play Store might be trickier to get working since it usually comes bundled in those GApps packages, so I'm not sure it'll work on its own without the underlying Google Services also installed. The other way is though installing GSF on your phone. I would stay away from this because GSF has some questionable "features" and is proprietary. If you insist on its use you can use openGApps. Source: over 2 years ago
In TWRP you have to go to Mount menu and mount everything that you can: /system, /vendor, /data, etc. Then go to Wipe menu, click Advanced Wipe and check everything, then wipe your device clean of MIUI. At this point there will be no OS installed in your phone. After that, copy your custom rom .zip file to a USB Type-C OTG drive, plug it in your phone, go to Mount menu and mount USB OTG, then go to Install and... Source: almost 3 years ago

These open source projects pull the latest original WSA packages from Microsoft, unpack the system images, add a Open GApps package ("open" as in the process of creating that package is open source, even if the Google apps themselves are not) and/or Magisk if you choose to, repack the images, build the Windows installable package.
