NoteJoy is a very simple Evernote-like program that's very reasonably priced notejoy.com. Source: about 3 years ago
Thereโs another service Iโve tried called NoteJoy that might be what youโre looking for. Itโs not on the same level of Evernote, but itโs also catching up. They can do note creation of emails, and they offer end-to-end encryption, but their mobile clipping kinda sucks, and they donโt support tables (yet), but those are features planned for 2023. Theyโre also on my shortlist of possible alternatives. Source: over 3 years ago
I am currently checking out NoteJoy, which offers nested notebooks, code snippets, a web clipper and bi-directional linking. So far, I have enjoyed it and the synchronisation across devices is fast. The web clipper is not as good as Evernote's offering but it does pull the text and links with a link for the website at the top of the note. Source: almost 4 years ago
Notejoy has been my go to for a few years now. Works great on iOS, Android, and Mac. Havenโt used it on PC but Iโm sure itโs the same experience. I like the hierarchical notebook layout. Notes are stored in markdown so itโs easy to move the data to another app if itโs not right for you. Source: almost 5 years ago

Wiki style internal references! Import via api -- bulk import yay! Editor is not as nice/expressive as new EN or nimbus, but better than old EN Cannot edit attached files Cannot minimze to system tray, so GUI is always out in front Felt very... Notejoy has gained considerable traction as a noteworthy alternative in the realm of note-taking and collaboration software. Positioned alongside industry giants such as Evernote, Notion, and OneNote, Notejoy distinguishes itself with a robust set of features focused on team collaboration and document management. Public opinion about Notejoy centers around its team-centric capabilities, cross-platform accessibility, and real-time collaboration features.
Many users and reviewers highlight Notejoyโs exceptional ability to facilitate team collaboration. It leverages features such as real-time editing, threaded conversations, and the embedding of Google Docs to foster a collaborative environment. These capabilities are often likened to sending emails with the ease of jotting down a note. For teams seeking a collaborative space that supports the creation and sharing of notes in real-time, Notejoy is frequently recommended.
Notejoy supports a broad range of functionalities, from markdown and inline tagging to hierarchical document organization. It allows for the integration of a variety of documents including Word files, PDFs, and Google Docs. The application runs on web, PC, Mac, iOS, and Android, ensuring users can seamlessly access their notes across devices. Reviews frequently commend its synchronization capabilities, which keep notes instantaneously updated across platforms, although mobile clipping features are noted to need improvement.
Notejoy is perceived as a reasonably priced service, making it an attractive choice for users seeking an Evernote alternative. The inclusion of end-to-end encryption is particularly appealing for those with a focus on security, though some note that certain features such as stronger mobile support could enhance its appeal. Despite its sophisticated features, some critiques mention that Notejoy does not yet support features such as table creation, though future updates have been teased.
Overall, Notejoy is seen as a straightforward, business-focused tool that adeptly balances ease of use with powerful features. While its editor may not be as expressive as some newer software options, its business-oriented functionalities resonate with teams seeking a structured, collaborative environment. A few users note limitations, such as the inability to minimize to the system tray, which might detract slightly from the user experience. Despite this, it remains a preferred choice for many who appreciate its fast performance and thorough feature set.
In conclusion, Notejoy enjoys a favorable reputation as a collaborative note-taking tool, particularly appealing to teams and business users. Its cross-platform support, strong collaboration tools, and reasonable pricing make it a well-regarded option among its peers in the note-taking and document management sectors.
