Yes, there's a thread. Yes, X sucks now and doesn't let you view threads without an account. You can use nitter (https://nitter.net) to view it: https://nitter.net/Johnie/status/1744556503183585471#m. - Source: Hacker News / 4 months ago
Also, an easy work around is to take a twitter url and replace twitter.com with nitter.net to see the tweet and all replies. Source: 5 months ago
Or replace "twitter.com" with "nitter.net" in browser address bar. Source: 5 months ago
Got you fam, just replace twitter.com with nitter.net & enjoy, here you go https://nitter.net/florscnt/status/1732133015566864710. Source: 5 months ago
Can we use Nitter or screenshot stuff? I don't really want to drive traffic for Musk or this twat. Source: 5 months ago
Tbh the thing that annoyed me the most was trash verified replies automatically getting to the top, where before you'd have to scroll down and click 'show more' to see them. Anyways, deactivated like 2 months back and if I ever want to see replies or view threads properly I use Nitter. Source: 5 months ago
Then use nitter.net for any accounts not on Threads yet. Source: 8 months ago
You made it sound like even for a simple site, JavaScript would be a necessity and we should expect websites to not work well without it. I was actually about to concede that it's OK if JS has eaten the world (see my closing thought)... Then read this comment: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=36849820, which I guess makes the open source Javascript-less front-end to Twitter more accessible for SEO WHAT? I... - Source: Hacker News / 9 months ago
Yes. But you cannot see replies and authors page. Use https://nitter.net/ for that. - Source: Hacker News / 10 months ago
Oh, damn it! Just when I'd gotten used to not clicking on twitter links (for which I have a browser plugin that transparently redirects to the nitter.net front-end, access for which twitter broke when they started rate-limiting), something new happened and nitter works again. Source: 10 months ago
Https://nitter.net works, but AFAIK it doesn't have RSS feeds (if that's what you're asking about). For that you need to choose an instance: https://github.com/zedeus/nitter/wiki/Instances. Source: 10 months ago
It's a "wrapper" for Twitter. It properly sequences threads, does not require JS to run and overall is just a better experience to read twitter. Source: 10 months ago
Was planning on using nitter.net but it seems Elon killed the graphql api for Twitter, but I guess this'll do? Unless people still want the direct link to twitter itself, but that might be an issue cause elon just fucked the rate limits for non verified users, and complietely fucked the non logins. For the second question, well I actually went around it cleverly by using nitter.net. Source: 10 months ago
You can use Nitter.net to see tweets. Not as good as the real thing, but I won't let Twitter force me into creating an account. Source: 10 months ago
Https://nitter.net/ and it has extensions for Firefox and Chrome. Source: 10 months ago
Tip (if you're on Desktop, at least, I don't use mobile): Change the "twitter.com" to "nitter.net" and you should be able to access it. Source: 10 months ago
If you simply replace the twitter.com bit of the address with nitter.net you should be able to get it to work. Source: 10 months ago
IDK what is going on with bots in terms of API but it should be trivial to set up an auto-comment with the nitter.net link. Source: 10 months ago
Use nitter.net instead of twitter - the rest of the web address stays the same. Source: 10 months ago
Fwiw this was still working a few hours ago https://nitter.net. Source: 10 months ago
