This is exactly the kind of problem NetLOGO is geared toward modelling and solving. It is very much like the LOGO (turtle graphics) you might have learned as a tween, but multi-agent, so you can model the behaviour of several types of cars (fast, slow, hesitant, etc), design a few multi-lane obstacles, and let 'r rip. There are 3D and 2D versions, but your problem will quite suit the 2D version. Check it out. I'd... - Source: Hacker News / 9 months ago

My team has a simulation model in NetLogo that needs a separate UI (data with will flow back and forth between simulation and UI, largely in the form of csv files). How might this be set up in Azure? Any recommendations for UI frameworks (React+Flask, Vue+Express, etc.) or file [system log] storage? I am very new to development so any pointers would be greatly appreciated. Source: over 1 year ago
I have a piece of code in NetLogo programming language that I am unable to run in NetLogo software (https://ccl.northwestern.edu/netlogo/) as I am facing some errors while doing so. If anyone can help me, we can discuss the budget. Source: over 1 year ago
> It's disappointing to me that Logo died out and didn't remain around or evolve But it did remain around and evolve. See, e. g.: StarLogo Nova: https://www.slnova.org/ NetLogo: https://ccl.northwestern.edu/netlogo/. - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
I was scanning the NetLogo installer to make sure I got the correct version, and didn't instead get a virus, but the antivirus has been running for a while and it reports greater than 90K files (still running) in the NetLogo installer. Is this right? I got it from here: https://ccl.northwestern.edu/netlogo/. Source: about 2 years ago
I had a look at NetLogo but I'm unsure it has the capacity to build L-shaped agents, handle stacking, or measure density. Source: over 2 years ago
There is a free tool that implements Shellings process. This work was a major contribution to his body of work for his Nobel prize. Website: http://ccl.northwestern.edu/netlogo/. - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago
Well, it does like you are describing an application a lot like what netlogo was designed for, but I think people also make simulations in lots of more run-of-the-mill languages, too. Source: over 2 years ago
Netlogo is a visual environment for agent based programming (and none of that sounds like lisp so it should get some kind of out-thereness prize since it gets listed as being in the Lisp family). Source: over 2 years ago
I recently discovered that the most popular tool used by scientists who do research using agent based modeling is based on Logo: https://ccl.northwestern.edu/netlogo/. - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago

NetLogo is moderately popular today. I've seen it used in academic contexts for modeling cellular automata and agent-based simulations: https://ccl.northwestern.edu/netlogo/. - Source: Hacker News / almost 3 years ago
I used NetLogo white a bit. It used the logo language for agent based simulations. Pretty cool stuff https://ccl.northwestern.edu/netlogo/. - Source: Hacker News / almost 3 years ago
