  I second this. I recently switched to Netbox from phpIPAM that I was using just for IPAM capabilities, but if you enter in the data Netbox works as so much more. The Ansible integration is great to use as a source of truth in playbooks/roles too. Source: over 2 years ago

  I'm finally getting around to installing Netbox and I seem to have missed the boat on a feature. Is the storage of secrets no longer available? I noted that you can see what I am talking abou in the install tutorial video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Fpd2-q9_28 @ 0:20).   If you're using hybrid cloud, multi-cloud, or fully on prem, I'd probably reach for something like Netbox which was build by DigitalOcean for this purpose. Source: over 2 years ago

  I prefer phpIPAM for IP Address Management. It looks like the SolarWinds free tool has a limit of 254 addresses, whereas this tool is truly FOSS. If you want even more detail than that (such as labeling individual ports and what they connect to), I've also heard very good things about NetBox. Source: almost 3 years ago
