I just finished reading the book Dirty Genes - Dr. Ben Lynch. The following genes are introduced as a dirty gene. Do you know what are the definitions of each dirty gene with the gene, rsID, alleles, and the used scientific paper if possible? As I have my whole genome sequencing data from Nebula Genomics, I plan to try Genetic Genie's Methylation Panel test by using my genome data. Source: 10 months ago
Nebula offers 30x sequencing for 250$ and 100x for $900, not a bad deal. Source: 11 months ago
I'm planning on doing a comprehensive genetic assessment so see if there is any clue in my DNA. Https://nebula.org/whole-genome-sequencing-dna-test/. Source: 11 months ago
I think Nebula makes the promise of anonymizing your data and permanently deleting it once the retention period has expired. https://nebula.org/whole-genome-sequencing-dna-test/. - Source: Hacker News / 11 months ago
Yeah, full DNA sequencing costs more, but is also surprisingly cheap. These guys are around $500, for example: https://nebula.org/whole-genome-sequencing-dna-test/. Source: 12 months ago
Eventually, you might want to get a complete genetic sequencing to identify your exact mutation. You can get it though your doctor and insurance. But — you can likely get WGS done yourself for much less than your insurance copay — through Nebula or DanteLabs, or others. Source: about 1 year ago
If you get on the mailing list at Nebula Genomics, they will send a “sample report” so that you can see what type of info you will get. Source: about 1 year ago
You can currently get WGS from Nebula Genomics for $150. It was one of the best investments I ever made. (It explained some other things, not kidney related). Source: about 1 year ago
You need better tests like https://nebula.org/whole-genome-sequencing-dna-test/ Where u can find about genetic neuropathy (CMT etc). Source: about 1 year ago
There are direct-to-consumer sequencing companies which will sequence your genome without a doctor's order. Even though without a doctor's order, the quality of sequencing will be the same. For example, https://nebula.org/whole-genome-sequencing-dna-test/. They often give you a report on rare disease variants and other predisposition variants found in your genome. Once you have the report, you can also make an... Source: over 1 year ago
You can get it fully sequenced for $300 (not 23andme's 5%) at 30x. https://nebula.org/whole-genome-sequencing-dna-test/. Source: over 1 year ago
I looked into ClarityX, GeneSight and one called Nebula Genomics that does a wild array of whole-genome testing, but I’m actually not sure if they specifically point out medications like the others. It’s utterly fascinating that it’s something they can do now. I’d really like to do it, but it’s pretty expensive. GeneSight takes insurance in the US so I’m thinking of checking into what my out-of-pocket would be. Source: over 1 year ago
Correct any incorrect grammar, awkward phrasing or suboptimal verbiage in the following reddit post: This is a recommendation, not an ad. If anyone else has any recommendations as to how they're prepping for the AI Assisted Life Extension Escape Velocity please share. One way I've prepared using Nebula's Whole Genome Sequencing services. I recommend everyone do the same and opt for the Ultra Deep Whole Genome... Source: over 1 year ago
I’ve looked at a couple lately but haven’t ordered one, they’re really expensive! There’s one called ClarityX that focuses on medications, and one called Nebula that does a Massive genetics thing. Source: over 1 year ago
Am I missing out on something here, or should I plunk down ~$120 on Nebula standard genome sequencing? Source: over 1 year ago
There is a “Black Friday Sale” at Nebula Genomics — you can get it done for $200. Source: over 1 year ago
Whole genome sequencing is commercially available for $299. https://nebula.org/whole-genome-sequencing-dna-test/. - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
The marketing name of the package is "Deep Whole Genome Packaging" (note: not "Ultra Deep"), and it currently costs $299 if you buy it from here. Source: over 1 year ago
Https://nebula.org/whole-genome-sequencing-dna-test/ seems like the way to go, I'll just immediately cancel the subscription. Source: over 1 year ago
Dante Labs was reorganized and sold and doesn’t have their act together. I’d recommend either Nebula Genomics or Sequencing.com. Source: over 1 year ago
My family has used both Nebula and Dante Labs. Unfortunately, after I did it, the FDA limited what they can and can’t report (if you are in the US) — but they are still very useful. Source: over 1 year ago
