Alternatively I did find this photo organization service called Mylio. Subscription-based which is less ideal but I'm giving it a try. So far I do like it, the interface is really clean and user-friendly, it as multi-device support, and better yet it lets you choose how and where you store, which kind of devices, manual phone sync, or add a cloud service.
