As has already been mentioned, When singing at an audition you usually only get between 16 and 32 measures to sing (about 30 seconds to a minute) So you usually have to cut your song to feature the best part: whether that is a certain high note, or a run, or a soft moment. Whatever part of the song shows off your talent the best. There are sites like musicnotes.com that have some songs in a 32 or 16 bar format,... Source: 10 months ago
So I bought a music sheet from musicnotes.com and heres the issue: the notes are incorrect and do not respond to the notes in the actual song. Source: 11 months ago
I very much like musicnotes.com. Have been a member there for a few years. Source: 11 months ago
For scores, they're some online services like musicnotes.com and mymusicsheet.com that offer some sort of self-publishing services. You can sell online, perhaps they can also sell prints. Source: 12 months ago
I was wondering if there were any Chinese or Taiwanese sites that I could use to find sheet music, preferably piano and/or guitar, of Chinese/Taiwanese songs. Similar to musicnotes.com, but for CN/TW music because that site caters mostly to Western music, and I'm trying to find sheet music specifically for songs by 五月天. It does not matter to me if I need to pay for the sheet music, like with musicnotes.com, or if... Source: about 1 year ago
This is simply too broad a question to answer on its face. All I can do is suggest you drive this by going on the major sheet music (much of it downloadable) sites: sheetmusicplus.com; musicnotes.com; and stanton.com. The free-scores.com site does have free scores but it really is a front end for commercial sheet music sites but it is worth your time. Source: about 1 year ago
So I am thinking of trying some seemingly simple pop-songs. Where do you guys get your sheet music? What seems to be the best service? musicnotes.com charges 5$ for a piece, which seems a bit expensive. musescore.com has some subscription model, not sure what am I getting for 5$/month, is it unlimited. Any advice here on where to find decent sheet music that is priced all right? Source: about 1 year ago
Lately, I'm especially looking for vocal/piano pieces, which are originally played with piano (because they just sound so much better than most covers of non-piano songs). But I have found myself so often looking online (mostly on musicnotes.com or Musescore) for sheet music and getting frustrated, because it's mostly garbage. It's almost always completely oversimplified piano accompaniment of overhyped pop songs. Source: about 1 year ago
There are tons of places online where you can get sheet music. I use musicnotes.com, but there's also sheetmusicplus.com, musescore.com (free), sheetmusicdirect.com, etc. Source: about 1 year ago
You can find some pretty good arrangements of pop songs if you look for the "piano/singer PRO" arrangements on sites like musicnotes.com. Source: about 1 year ago
Yeah I noticed this one thru my search but it's a variation of the radio song and the day theme. Tunescribers charge like $100 to scribe the song off of a youtube clip. A little out of my budget for sheet music though. I searched musicnotes.com and musescore.com and they do have a lot of FFXIV sheet music but no luck finding this particular song. The search continues... Source: over 1 year ago
I play the same way - 1st I use lead sheets to get my tunes started. You can find those on places like musicnotes.com. Source: over 1 year ago
I second the nominations of musicnotes.com and sheetmusicplus.com. Source: over 1 year ago
Musicnotes.com and sheetmusicplus.com definitely are paying the royalties to the publishers. (and a tiny per-sale fee to the arrangers as well. I think I get like 50c or something every time someone buys one of my arrangements on there.). Source: over 1 year ago
Have you tried musicnotes.com or sheetmusicplus.com? those have good piano arrangements of most mainstream popular songs available as individual downloads. you don't have to buy an entire book. Source: over 1 year ago
Lemme guess, musicnotes.com. They're concerned about piracy and use DRM, as if you couldn't just print to PDF anyways. Source: over 1 year ago
Dunno about physical books, but musicnotes.com has many songs available in leadsheet format. Source: over 1 year ago
Or musicnotes.com, search beethoven, and explore the various arrangements and levels of difficulty. Source: over 1 year ago
He's not into listening to music? (seems weird then that he plays an instrument...) or he's not into listening to piano music? if he listens to pop/rock/whatever, go to musicnotes.com or sheetmusicplus.com or the retailer of your choice and get some arrangements/leadsheets of music that he likes. If you're willing to spend a bit of money, I recommend musescore.com or musicnotes.com. If you don't want to spend any money, you can just screenshot the things on musescore.com and print it out... Because that's what I do. Source: almost 2 years ago
Let's say I bought a piece of sheet musicnotes.com. Source: almost 2 years ago
