Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Monty.fast.
  1. What makes Monty.fast unique?

Monty is footage-first and end-to-end. You throw in a clip you already filmed, and it writes the script in your voice, cuts the pauses and bad takes, times captions to your speech, adds music and b-roll, builds a version per platform, and posts it. Most tools own one link in that chain: clippers need a long recording to slice, editors hand you a timeline, schedulers publish but never touch the video. Monty covers the seam between editing and publishing, including Telegram and VK, which most Western tools skip.

  2. Why should a person choose Monty.fast over its competitors?

Because the thing that stops most people posting is not the edit, it is everything after it: exporting per format, writing the copy, opening four apps, uploading. Monty removes that tail. Compared with OpusClip, Vizard or Klap, it does not need an archive of long recordings, so it works if you just film 40 seconds on a phone. Compared with CapCut, Descript or Captions, you are not driving a timeline. If you want frame-level control or AI avatars, those tools are the better pick, and our comparison pages say so plainly.

  3. How would you describe the primary audience of Monty.fast?

Solo creators, founders and subject-matter experts who film themselves on a phone and want a steady posting cadence without hiring an editor. Typically one person doing everything, publishing to four platforms at once. A large part of our audience is outside the English-speaking market, so the interface ships in English, Russian, Korean, Chinese and Spanish, and Telegram and VK are first-class publishing targets rather than afterthoughts.

  4. What's the story behind Monty.fast?

Monty started as an internal tool. We were running our own social channels and losing entire evenings to editing and uploading the same video four times, so we built a pipeline that did it for us. After it had produced a few hundred reels for our own channels, it was clearly more useful as a product than as a private script, and Monty is that pipeline turned into one.

  5. Which are the primary technologies used for building Monty.fast?

Python for the video engine (ffmpeg for assembly, Remotion for motion graphics and captions, faster-whisper for transcription), Claude for scripting and creative decisions, Go for the control plane (auth, billing, jobs), Postgres and Redis for state and queues, Cloudflare R2 for media, and React with Next.js on the front end.
