Mitup is a free, open-source Telegram bot for organizing events and meetups. You create a meeting in a private chat with the bot, share one card into your group, and the bot handles the rest. It never joins your group: it works through Telegram's inline mode, so anyone who receives the card can join from it, even in groups where admins don't add bots.
What it handles for you:
- RSVPs: one tap to join from the shared card, in any chat it reaches.
- Waiting lists: cap the spots; the overflow queues in order and people are promoted automatically when someone drops out.
- Timezone-aware reminders: everyone gets the reminder at the right local hour, wherever they are.
- Guests without an account: add someone to the list by name; they don't need Telegram at all.
- Sharing anywhere: one card can go to groups, channels, or DMs, and every copy stays in sync. Public meetings can be re-shared by anyone who receives them.
Mitup has run since 2015, is MIT-licensed, carries no ads, and is translated into six languages by its community. It is funded by optional Patreon supporter tiers that raise usage limits; the product is fully usable for free.
