  • What's the status and progress of decentralized social media?
I have waiting for about a year for Lens Protocol to become available to everyone and official, but the news hasn't yet come. In Ethereum's website, it recommends other decentralized social networks too like Status.im, Mirror.xyz, and even talks about Twitter. What's the progress happening in the field, and which one is going to become popular in your opinion? Has any of them become popular among users who are... Source: 10 months ago

  • Upload 40MB vitalik's blog to a smart contract on Arbitrum Nova with 0.13ETH
    - Lack of advanced storage semantics. Arweave/Filecoin are mostly suitable for static files, while it is impossible to create dynamic websites, where multiple users can interact with and changes directly (either using a middle-layer like mirror.xyz , or the user has to do multiple actions 1, upload to IPFS/AR; 2, update blockchain metadata, not to mention additional token/wallet/address that users have to learn).... • What Are Decentralized Social Networks and Where to Find Them
Mirror is one of the most popular blogging platforms built on the Ethereum network that allows “NFT-ing” of posts, offer subscriptions, and set up DAOs. Although widely used, Mirror being on Ethereum can make users face high gas and low speed. Source: over 1 year ago

  • web3 censorship
Here's the issue I'm running into: Last night I finally got around to checking out mirrror.xyz. A decentralized blog, something great in the face of totalitarian censorship. It made me think about the Chinese woman who a few years ago posted some bombshell article or accusation onto the blockchain so it could not be censored. I forget the details but that's a fantastic use case for a decentralized publishing... Source: over 2 years ago
  • Web3 Is More Centralized
I've tried Mastadon and Matrix (using Element). I think they're two of the best examples. But I think for none of these have quite nailed the UX of existing social networks (Mastadon's not quite as good as Twitter and Element is not as feature-rich as Discord).
